Dear Sreenadh ji

 

Thank you for your views.It is educative to read the practical use of

DigBala.

 

What i had observed were purely my personal views and thus have no

authenticity.

 

Lagna represents east or the rising or begining, which is the

Jataka.Irrespective of the rashi in which a planet is present,digbala

is purely based on the directions from this lagna(as you are aware

of).

Each direction represents one kind of mandala or bhava.Kendra Bhavas

fundamentally represent the 4 major directions,East,West,North,South.

If a planet is having digbala,it means, it is in a direction, in

which lagna is happy.After all ,all the balas of a planet are for the

benefit of various bhavas relating to a Jataka.

 

Directions have different meaning in Jataka.It can mean a bhava as

well as a geographical direction.If we dig a bit deep we understand

that bhavas are as well,directions w.r to lagna.Lagna thus becomes

the centre of reference.

 

Thus as you have rightly mentioned,a Jataka(lagna) will go in a

direction where he is happy(represented by the dig bala of a

planet).Houses.Job,prashana matters etc can be thus delienated by

expert Jyotishis,if they have the ability to blend these along with

Rashi sheela,in the right proportion.

 

Taking these principles blindly,and forgetting to consider the chart

called rashi chakra in totality,may be the reason for the failure of

most of the inexperienced astrologers like me.Similarly if Sun is

having navamsha in the 10th in rashi chakra or venus is having

navamsha in the 4th from lagna in rashi chakra,it is indeed helping

the jataka through directional strength at prana level.
