Say ascendant is Virgo then Venus is lord of ascendant and 8th Say ascendant is Scorpio then Mars is lord of ascendant and 6th Now in these cases, if ascendant lord is placed in a sustana, does it play the role of ascendant lord (which is subha) or the dustana lord (asubha)? Which of these two houses should we give prominence to? From my understanding, lagna lord cannot be treated as benefic when it also lords a dustana.
