PS - I forgot to add something important...

" How much freewill do we have " ?

It is inversely proportionate to the amount of Avidya we have.

Therefore study of sastra, especially upanishads, under blessings and

tutelage of sadhu and guru will increase our freewill.

Development of Bhakti will directly destroy avidya even more

forcefully than the jnana of the upanishads, because the nature of

avidya is to ignore our eternal RELATIONSHIP to parambrahman.

Thus practice of margs in jnana and bhakti bestow upon us more and

more capability to act outside of the influence of the planets. IT IS

IMPORTANT TO NOTE that calamities will still befall a sadhu!!!

Therefore astrological predictions can still be made about great

saints. We can not control what will happen to us, we already had our

say in that by our past actions. What a sadhu can control is how he or

she REACTS to and utilizes what happens.

However, when one further advances on his or her marg, the jnana and

bhakti that is destroying avidya will also begin destroying aprarabdha

BEFORE it becomes manifest. Thus, in very advanced stages of spiritual

development, the planets themselves start to loose power over the

native, and Sri Bhagavan and Sri Radha / Laxma / Parvati (as you like)

take direct control over what happens to the person.
