Lilly was a male. His name was William Lilly. He predicted the great fire of

London. He was a well known astrologer of his times and his place in Occidental

astrology is still the foremost.

William Lilly was an english astrologer who lived in the 17th century.

His great work, " Christian Astrology " , remains the first authority

for horary astrology in western astrology to-day.

 

He did not use the outer planets because he could not know their

existence. They were discovered after his time : Uranus in 1781,

Neptune in 1846 and Pluto in 1930. Some western astrologers do not use

them even now. They argue they are not visible to the naked eye. Only

Uranus is a little visible. I don't think they are needed in vedic

astrology.
