Dear Shri Bhaskarji, Gopu ji and others,

This is what KP says in "Rectification of Birth Time"

When one is doubtful about his exact birth time , but says that it may be around 15 minutes this way or that, is there any method by which one can find out the exact movement of birth?

Answer: I shall give some of the methods which are available. How far you can relay on them, is left entirrely to you, to the readers and to the research scholors:

(1) Convert the approximate time of birth given in IST to Vighatis after Sunrise (Sunrise will be given in LMT to be converted to IST). Multiply by 4 and divide by 9. the reminder is the number of the star counted from Aswani, Makham or Moolam. Suppose Sun raises at 6 AM Birth is 8 AM. That is the birth took place 2 hours after Sunrise.

1 Day = 60 Ghatis = 3600 Vighatis

1 Hour = 2 1/2 Ghatis = 150 Gatis

1 Ghati = 24 Min. =60 Vighatis

1 Minute 2 2 1/2 Vighatis; 1 Vighati = 24 Seconds.

If the birth is 2 hours after Sunrise then it means it is 5 Ghatis = 300 Vighatis.

Multiply by 4 abd devide by 9 = Then, 300 x 4/9= 1200/9=133 3/9

Reminder is 3. That is, it means that Moon at the time of birth should be in the Nakshatra which is the 3rd from Aswani or Makham or Moolam. i.e., it may be Karthikai or Uthraphalguni or Uthrashada.

But suppose the star is Chitri, then one is to find out that Vighti, next to the number of Vighitis given by consultant.

He mentioned 8 AM. = 300 Vighatis after sunrise. So you should add or subtract 1 Vighati or 2 or 3 and so on till you get the reminder 5 which shows the three stars Mirgasirisha, Chitra and Dhanishta.

Therfore if one is born at 305 Vightis or 296 Vighitis, the reminder after mutiplying by 4 and dividing by 9 will only be 5. But the person says that it may err to a maximum of fifteen minutes either way. Then find how many Vighatis will yeild the same result.

The following Vighatis will give the reminder 5:

278, 287, 296, 305,314, 323, 332, 341 and so on.

278 Vighati is after 7.45 AM and 341 Vighati is before 8.15 AM

Which will you give?

2. Another Method mentioned is as under:

Note where Mandi was at the time of birth. The Lagna sign will be either 5 or 7 or 9 or 1 when counted from the sign occupied by Mandhi-- (Then altrnatives are given -either to Moon or Lagna, either in Rasi or Navamsa)

If Mandi and Lagna are to be in 1, 5,7, or 9 the consultant asks, why theen the same author gives the results of Mandi occupying any house from Lagna i.e., the first, second, third, fourth etc., up to 12.

How to reconcile?

If the sign is either 5 0r 9 (for example) it could be useful to find the Lagna , correct to 30.

If Navamsa is taken, the position of Lgna is correct to 3 D-30'. As the Navamsa Lagna changes roughly once in 13 to 14 minutes, how far will this calculation will give a precise answer?

3. In UTHRA KALAMITRA, it is said that the interval between Sunrise and the time of birth is to be converted in to Vighatis.

Divide by 225

Then males are born if the reminder is 0 to 15; or, 45 and 90; or, between 150 and 225.Females are born if the reminder is between 15 and 45 or between 90 and 150.

""According to this method, we have to multiply 53- 3/4 Ghatis by 60 (he has taken the time of birth as 53 3/4 Ghatis) to convert them to Vighatis, thus 53 3/4 x 60 or 215 x 15. This has to be divided by 225. Thus, 215 x 15 divided by 225 gives a quotient of 14 and reminder of 75. This falls with in second Group (45 to 90) which shows the sex is 'male'.

In the firsst example taken, when a first principle is applied, the birth may be between 278 and 341 Vighatis. So the reminder may be 53 or 62 or 71 or 80, or 89 or 98 or 106 or 115. So if the consultant is male (presuming tht the horoscope belongs to the consultant) then 55;62 or 71; 80 will be one of the timings. If the consultant is a lady, then the number of Vighatis will be 98 or 106 or 115 when both the rules 1 and 3 will be satisfied. ""

I have copied from KP's Predictive Astriology for the group members' knowledge and information.

Dear Shri Pathiji,

This is the reason that the Ruling Planets Method was invented and came

to be in vogue, due to the inconsistencies in the other available

methods. The Ruling Planets method removes all this calculations and

bypasses the same, as the Planetary configurations at the time of

judgement guide the person about the right birth time.

We can take a Live example if one of you give us his Birth date and time

of Birth, so that we can check with the Ruling Planets method whether

this works or not in the case presented. But remember to give the

correct recorded time , and not to test anyones abilities or

capabilities. We are just taking a example so that all of us can learn

the Ruling Method basics and then if satisfied can go to learn the

advance techniques available in various books available in the market.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Pathi ji,

I cast your chart and notice that Venus is in 12th house in D9. According some

schools of thought who read bhavas in navamsha, this placement is very bad for

marriage/married life. Hence, if you don't mind, can you share with us at what

age did you get married and in general if your married life is a happy

experience. I just want to validate that theory using your chart as one of the

test cases.  I know it is not correct to just go by the placement of one planet

alone that too in navamsha. However, I have seen some senior astrologers coming

to such conclusions based on the placement of one planet alone for this

particular theory, and hence my question.

Hope you will share the details.

Regards,

Krishna

Dear Shri Krishnaji,

I was married on 19th August 1962. My marriage happened in three months as it was love at first sight, and I made my decision. I am a self made person and none helped me whatsoever in all - repeat, all- my life till today. I lost my father when I was 14 years 3 month 5 days old. I am the only son.I worked and completed my studies. I have two daughters and one son and he is the middle pin. My married life is excellent and we are the happiest couple in our family. My story could be tagged as 'rag to riches'. My wife is with me here, and we travel together wherever we travel. I do not have to go to any doctor for last 60 years for any sickness except for some medical examinations for producing medical certificates to authorities or for attending my dentures. I have two world famous doctors as my sons in law. I am the senior most elderly person in this family. I say these, for these

facts could help you.

Regards.

Dear Su,

Venus in 12th is considered to be one of the best placements for Venus as per the Traditional rules for bed pleasures.

The exception can only be if the Venus is associated to a malefic , or aspected by a malefic.

Otherwise Venus would give richness, happiness and sexual enjoyments.

The above results are mentioned in the Phaldeepika, Chamatkar Chintamani and Brihat Jataka.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Marin,

Your question makes sense to me. I was thinking on those lines. So if

the place of judgement is the place of inquiry, then supposing a

person asks for BT rectifing at the click of a mouse, to ten

different people all over the world, then it is likely, due to the

geographical locations, that atleast one out of the ten will come out

with the finding that the given BT itself is correct. Do you agree.

We have to wait unitl Bhaskarji returns to answer our question

Dear Bhagavathiji,

We are now talking of extremes. Which does not happen in real Life. But suppose it does happen by members as we see them coming out with bowls on various Internet Jyotish forums simultaneously, the nature would never allow this person ( Native enquiring ) access to even one good astrologer, leave alone 10 astrologers all around the globe. Its just not possible.

One can fool oneself but not the nature.

Dear Bhagavathi, I am sorry to say that I disagree with you in your last

statement.

the important fact  first, is to establish a proper way to accomplish the task,

which is to find a corrected b.t..  I see your point of view, but we must

understand logic, also astrology is said to be not perfect 100%, but it does

work.

Let us move on with the first step which has been already provided by Bhaskar,

and I am tankfull for his prompt response, and glad to know that I was in the

right track, but I had to ask a question in order to assure my self that my

understanding was correct.
