Exaltation of Rahu

Dear All,

 

Well there have been diffrent opnions on the rashi where Rahu gets

exalted.

As per rishi Parashar Rahu is exalted in Taurus, whereas various other

text also opine that Rahu is exalted in Gemini.

Some logic may be applied i.e Rahu being Rakshas and Shukracharya being

guru of Rakshasas so Rahu may be exalted in Taurus.

Dear Friends,

I have learnt from my teachers the following differentiation in this regard :

1. If the question of longevity is in consideration , the exaltation sign of Rahu

may be considered as Taurus.

2 In the cases of financial matters , Rahu should be considered as exalted in Gemini,

and Taurus becomes its Mooltrikona.

JATAK PARIJAT in ch2 sl 68 says:

Rahu gains strength in Aries, Scorpio, Aquarius, Virgo , Taurus and Cancer signs and

also when placed in 10H.

BPHS CH 51 SL 42 SAYS THAT:

If Rahu is in Aquarius etc four signs ( may be meaning Taurus , Gemini , Virgo and Aquarius)

gives good results.
