dear sbmaheta ji ,

 

i will tell what i know and more learned and experienced memebrs may correct me

.

Now the question is on simply planets in rasi sandhi or rasi sandhi itself .

 

Rasi sandhi means duration of one nakshatra pada (3 degree 20 minits ) frm each side of the rasi means frm begining or end ,the degrees r more less sandhi dosha is more .means 0 dgree to 1 in begining or 29 to 30 degree in end .Worst of the rasi sandhi is gandantha sandhis ,if u watch its between fire and water rasis ,so pisces --aries ,cancer -leo ,scorpio--sag junctional points all suffer this dosha . So birth in this sandhis can be trouble some .

 

Now planets placed here also suffers rasi sandhi dosha and their houses loose its merits generaly .

 

But at times i hav seen when a planet is not very close to 0 to one dgrees and vargottam many times gives best results as vargottam in navamsa means the luck factor is increased ,in other vargas it shows may be benefit in that vargas .

 

its still need to be reserched on real charts who has finished those dasas .As many charts available to us may be having the other influence and drishties and it may modify the results .

 

But declare full rsults use bhava sphutha also and see planets is in bhava sandhi or near bhava sphutha ,and or if its arohi or avarohi .

 

Planets in bhava sphutta santhi is bad and bhava madhya is good ,and if it on either side its known as arohi ( means increasing ) and avarohi ( means decreasing )

 

Then u hav to take anupatha bala ( proportional strenght ) of the planets to declare full results .

IN jaimini the planet with max longitude in chart is known as AK ( atma karka ) and its rasi dasa and in normal vimshottary also its vim dasa is generaly bad and it will be a period of real test and learning hard ships of life ,if its nearer to last degrees in house .

 

other planets in first degrees of sign is known as DK ( dara karaka ) this rasi dasa can generaly gives marriage and planetary period in vim dasa may depends on other strenghts in chart .

 

also other 10 avastas also shud be considered to declare full results ,I know one ex PM that dasa was showing planet is sleeping ( one of the 10 avastas ) and he become PM ( off cource for short period ) and u can see all photos of public functions he was sleeping in chair ,where as now the dasa is over and u can see he is active but the raja yoga effect also decresed to a gr8 extent .
