Guest guest
I am an ordinary man having all ignorance and weakness. So I don't call myself Varahamihira after translating/copying little of astrology. I will live and die like any other ordinary human being. Those who styled themselves to be Sages while living have left a legacy that makes people laugh at astrology and yoga. Discussion is not against any individual. Discussion is on men who made pseudo-claims of greatness and the fact that now time is taking a hearty laugh on them. We all must understand that egoistic or selfish pursuits can lead any individual to paranoic chittavrttis as we see with the selfstyled great men. Someone will call himself Varahamihira, only if he is totally ignorant of Varahamihira and the depth of his talents, greatness and works. It was such ignorance, paranoic chittavrttis and ambition that led 'Abhinava Mihira' to create an ayanamsa lower than Chitrapaksha which could be easily understood as derivable from Vakya-Panchanga. As a result, even today many people will be struggling with a ludicrous value and subjective analysis. We all need to guard against wrong imagination taking control of our minds. Miniscule is man able to do without the power of Yoga and that just make us understand that glory of the Great One and nothing to be proud of - it is just a call to praise the glorious Yogi from whom the Great Wisdom emanated. And what is the proof for the existence of Yogic power that has given us the great wisdom of Jyotisha? Look at Siva. He is Nagaraja. King Cobra is on his neck as an ornament. This is not a symbolism as pseudo-yogis have come to interpret out of their fearful, imaginative minds. A true Yogi is Nagaraja and a Cobra will be a slave to him. Copying and translations + some jugglery of data leading to imagination that someone has created Jyotisha and has become Yogi or Mihira is a disease. Using the name of Sages and Sannyasis to spice up the motivated creation of legends/to light up a pseudo-mystic aura around self is also a disease. Astrology is the wisdom of the Nagaraja and no one has any copy right for that. Every fool who is into creating jargon and selling it must remember this fact. xxxx , "Ram Jaswal" <rkjaswal wrote:>> Namaste Chandra Hari> > Pray what does this have to do with his children? > > As the saying in the Bible goes - let only that person throw a stone who has> Never committed a sin - are you suggesting that you are "totally" clean and> that your children after you are and will be likewise? Jargons..... They are so dangerous. Are we creating our own jargons and selling it? Or are we trying to clear the jargons? Are we trying to be great men or simply and lovingly following our inner urge in persute of wisdom? Would we be laughing stock for futurity, or is that irrelevent to us because 'we were sincere to ourselves'? ............................................................................... Thanks for sharing sincere thoughts and helping much in my self improvement.................................. Note: Dear listerners, Lessons does not comes from outside, but from within; None can teach you things which we don't already know. The true reactions of the one who is really in the path and learning from within would sound most rebellious and idol destroying for one who looks at books to learn. But know that it is NOT intended, but he is only expressing the experience and own inner self. Being true to oneself cannot be and shouldn’t be termed ego; and will not be by the ones who already know. (words have their own limitation). I am NOT against BV Raman, Santanam, KN Rao ji, or even the new imaginator Sanjay Rath; but instead appreciate their efforts. But sincerely I can feel the emotions echoed by Chandrahari ji and is more at home with the stream of thought he presents and the innovative attitude he presents. Enough time wasted after 'artificial humbleness' and now we should try some 'rebellious wisdom'Love and regards,Sreenadh , "chandra_hari18" <chandra_hari18 wrote:>> > I am an ordinary man having all ignorance and weakness. Guest guest
Namaste Chandra Hari Glad you are going to lead an ordinary human existence – in which case Why so vitriolic in condemning others ……. Let it Not be forgotten that he (BV Raman) has been instrumental in bringing “Vedic” Astrology to the fore to the wider public with his Books, Magazines and lectures around the globe …… He was also considered to be Very adept in Mundane predictions that came true – as to whether he used his own Ayanamsa guess only he knows (?) …… Regarding his Ayanamsa it was “coined” well Before Lahiri whereas yours no doubt is very well later – refer to “Manual of Hindu Astrology” for its derivation ….. As to people laughing I guess it only reflects in their own inaptitude and small worth that they feel they have to criticize better known personalities inorder to propel themselves forward ….. Correcting errors made in print by Past/Present “guru’s” are fully justified as long as it is done with “humility” and Not with a “brazen” attitude of trying to belittle their contribution …… Good luck in yours and other similar minded peoples continued thinking …… Jai Sita Ram Ram On Behalf Of chandra_hari18 27 March 2008 02:15 Subject: Re: See an Interesting Case Study - A true Yogi is Nagaraja I am an ordinary man having all ignorance and weakness.
