Guest guest
Don't be driven by the imagination of pseudo-Yogis We are living in times when Yoga has fallen into commercialization and getting sold as a `booster' of man's drive for material success. Managers are being taught Yoga to enhance their skills for exploiting the gullible and in the name of Yoga, we are finding the sale of Jyotisha also. Imagination of the fraudulent guys have found Yoga, Karma, Rebirth etc as tools by which a section of the population can be easily deceived for their advantage. Men and Women who failed to satisfy their amitious urges of material riches have taken to the path of spirituality today because they have found that competition is lesser and there are no touchstones for genuinity and truth in mystic phenomena. A Yogi is known simply by his living. He needs no public address, interviews, claims on Gurus or their supranormal powers or claims of great ancestry. Yogi is known from his silence, his love for all beings (bhoota-daya). All other cheshtas (activities) are part of a fraudulent man's agenda to sell himself, driven by his own subconscious urges to imagine things in a way as to satisfy his ego and greed. Jyotisha would have never died. Even the Muslim and British rule, Vedas, Tantras and Jyotisha survived. Any thought that someone contributed to the survival of Jyotisha by popularizing it is simply his imagination. All occult wisdoms are forms of Great Mother – Vidyah samsthah tava Devi bhedah - and it dawns up in Her children at appropriate times. She knows about the spurious works of Yoga-bhrashtas and it will all be cleaned up by few years as has happened with the Astrological Magazine. Keep a watch on our own minds to understand as to how imagination pulls our thoughts and how we erred many times driven by imagination. Bhakti, devotion without Japayoga is disastrous as it leads one into hallucination and paranoic feelings. Keep focus on slow learning of the ancient wisdom – all researches are simply distortions inspired by few case studies – and in due course the right interpretations shall dawn within us, if we have no vested interests. We shall be away from the true precepts of Jyotisha to the extent we are selfish. To learn Jyotisha and Yoga, the first rule is to love other beings more and be devoid of selfishness and dishonesty. chandra hari

Lord Krishna is called the greatest yogi since he had complete control over all his senses. He was NEVER silent, nor did he hesitate to speak the truth that He is indeed a true yogi because that was the truth. I have seen many SILENT persons cheating others regularly. To speak perfectly and to speak out the truth are the rare qualities one should always desire for, similarly not to speak when not necessary and not to chat unnecessarily and to unnecessarily boast about oneself are also the best of the qualities. But to measure a person's yogic power by the amount he speaks is totally irrational. Speaking to people and guiding people in the right direction is of utmost importance especially in today's world where things need to be spoken out in clarity so that people understand. SILENCE might have been a virtue in satya yuga where no communication was required between people. Anyway smart and good people can always recognize a true yogi whether he speaks or is silent.Regards,Vijay.
Guest guest
Dear Mr Chandra Hari, I must congratulate you on writing such an appropriate, simple n forceful mail. WE all know that truth prevails, it needs no explanations and no guardians to protect it.WE all seek it in our own way,but definitely require guidance of experienced truthful guru at times of confusion. I feel it is very difficult to seek a TRUE REAL GURU in today's so called progressive, modern and developing global village. You have rightly described the pseudo-Yogis.The world is full of such self eulogizing gurus. So my Query is how to seek a sincere n truthful master n guide. I always beleived in in-depth reading n being your own master, but it doesn't work at all times!!!! Thank you.Make this topic live for some time. Best wishes n regards, mridul
Guest guest
Dear friend, From my experience - 1. Practice Japa-yoga 2. Keep an approach to Jnana-Yoga One should learn from original works that have been published earlier, before the present proliferation of interpretations, and contemplate as to what the real meaning can be. 3. Watch our own minds and our PC like behavior. We behave like programmed computers and that is the cause of many ills. 4. Watch our own ambitions and see whether it add any real value to our life. 5. We must decide our value from introspection rather than from comparison with others. 6. Honesty, Non-possessiveness and Courage are the three factors that decide the grace of a person. Whereever we find dishonesty, and attachment, we can be sure that the intentions are not pure and the words of such a person cannot be taken on face value. chandra hari , mridul kothiyal <mridulkothiyal wrote: > > Dear Mr Chandra Hari, > > I must congratulate you on writing such an appropriate, simple n forceful mail.
