Dear sreenadhji,

I have , many a times, stated and am again stating that this adage

was taught to my grandfather by his guru in Kasi during last century

where he learnt ved-vedanga and Karmakanda and also Jyotish.

He was honoured by Govt of India at the hands of the president Late

Zakir Husaain and all the Shankaracharyas of India. First to honour

him was HH Chandrashekar saraswati ji of Kanchi math.

The degree was Samaved Marthand and Shankaracharya of Sharda Peetam

awarded him with title of Daivagya Chudamani.

I do not know from which book his guru had learnt this adage.

So please understand that I cannot provide the answer to your

question.
