Guest guest
Dear Members, One gentleman in this group recently queried if the principle Karako_Bhava_Nasha {Nasha-Destroy....Hindi speakers read it as Nashaa-intoxination} is true. It sounds very basic question, has been a subject of discussion in some earlier...without any satisfactory response/replies. Now that we have some psychologists in the groups also...can expect astro based psychological analytical replies !! To me Jupiter in 5H should be giving more filial children or Venus in 7H should be giving more artistic or "Venus over flowing" partners or Sun in 9H...etc... to say that they spoil the attributes of the house/bhava ... seems little misplaced logics ?? Any Gladiators or Spartans.....to take out and revel in this arena of knowledgebase swords ?? With regards, Sreeram_Srinivas
Guest guest
Dear Sreenivas ji and other members,If I am allowed to enter the arena, I'll say that we need to apply such principles with extreme caution.Suppose we take Benefic Jupiter and two associated principles -- (1) Karko Bhav Nashay, and (2) Sthan hani karo jeevaSee what we get:Four houses in doldrums because Jupiter is karak for 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th houses.2 more houses in soup if Jupiter gets posited in its own house of sagitarius and pisces. Half the chart is rendered as nasht. A benefic has already been condemned in 6/8/12 houses.Where will the GURU go?Parashara has probably not considered these dictums. Its given in Chamatkar Chintamani if I am not wrong. Normally we use three-fold analysis with bhav-bhavesh-karak. What is probably meant in these cases is that since karak and bhav are together afflicted in case there is any malefic influence on these in the chart, dasha or transit, the house is almost in ruins. If bhavesh also is there or happens to be the karak himself, even slightest affliction to the combination can be disastrous. Its like bombarding a parliament in session...won't the country be in ruins... But even then don't worry, we have more candidates ready to jump in, and many more folds in our pockets to hold our destiny....Sreenadhji tells us a seven-fold method...regardsneelamOn 22/02/2008, sreeram srinivas <sreeram64 wrote: Dear Members, One gentleman in this group recently queried if the principle Karako_Bhava_Nasha {Nasha-Destroy....Hindi speakers read it as Nashaa-intoxination} is true. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Udupa ji, The question was raised by a gentleman...I was only echoing it further......do not know if there is a classical dictum.....being often heard in various astro groups.....without satisfactory conclusion anywhere....thought good to raise it here again for discussion. Members can share their experience whether they agree or disagree to this principle. Guest guest
dear friends much water has flown on this quote in all groups but it keeps surfacing time and again. before embarking on answering its applications and proving or disproving with test charts, let us first understand the question itself more clearly. 1. " karako bhava nasha " quote is mentioned in which classic. kindly substantiate the origin of this quote. 2. is it natural karaka of the bhavas or merely the lord of any house positioned in that house. 3. is this rule LIMITED only to jupiter and venus or all planets. once we are clear on the above, then we will be able to answer with some understanding of this principle. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun , " sreeram srinivas " <sreeram64 wrote: > > > Dear Mr. Udupa ji, > > The question was raised by a gentleman...I was only echoing it > further......do not know if there is a classical dictum.....being often > heard in various astro groups.....without satisfactory conclusion > anywhere....thought good to raise it here again for discussion. > > Members can share their experience whether they agree or disagree to > this principle. > > With regards, > > Sreeram_Srinivas > > > , Guru <ahudupa@> > wrote: > > > > In the first place, which classical text contains this dictum? > > udupa > > > > On Fri, Feb 22, 2008 at 4:35 PM, sreeram srinivas sreeram64@ > > wrote: > > > > > Dear Members, > > > > > > One gentleman in this group recently queried if the principle > > > Karako_Bhava_Nasha {Nasha-Destroy....Hindi speakers read it as > > > Nashaa-intoxination} is true. > > > > > > It sounds very basic question, has been a subject of discussion in > some > > > earlier...without any satisfactory response/replies. > Now that > > > we have some psychologists in the groups also...can expect astro > based > > > psychological analytical replies !! > > > > > > To me Jupiter in 5H should be giving more filial children or Venus > in 7H > > > should be giving more artistic or " Venus over flowing " partners or > Sun in > > > 9H...etc... to say that they spoil the attributes of the house/bhava > ... > > > seems little misplaced logics ?? > > > > > > Any Gladiators or Spartans.....to take out and revel in this arena > of > > > knowledgebase swords ?? > > > > > > With regards, > > > > > > Sreeram_Srinivas > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Dear Udupa ji, The karako bhava nasha theory is presented in a hidden form (through examples quotes) by Jataka Parijata by Vaidya nadha. Jataka parijata is a good text, but is at the same time hosts the seeds of numerous irrelevant theories as well. This is a text originated in AP written by the son of the auther of Sarvartha Chintamani. Note: Actually Jataka Parijata seems to be the base text for SJC school than BPHS, since Rath presents every least important things presented in Jataka parijata as most important, and every most important things (which are in tune with Rishi horas) as least important! ;=) Might be experimenting... ;=) Love and regards,Sreenadh , Guru <ahudupa wrote:>> In the first place, which classical text contains this dictum?> udupa> > On Fri, Feb 22, 2008 at 4:35 PM, sreeram srinivas sreeram64 wrote:> > > Dear Members,> >> > One gentleman in this group recently queried if the principle> > Karako_Bhava_Nasha {Nasha-Destroy....Hindi speakers read it as> > Nashaa-intoxination} is true.> >> > It sounds very basic question, has been a subject of discussion in some> > earlier...without any satisfactory response/replies.
