Domestic Violence and Harrassment

Respected Learned Fraternity members

I am a new member of the group and I practise

Astrology as hobby. The topic of Domestic Violence

and Harrassment caught my eye for the simple reason

that this phrase takes into consideration the females

only, and more so when my family has been a victim.

I do agree that females had to face (still do face) a

lot of problems particulry after marriage. However,

there are cases in the my family (4 generations, right

from my great grandfather) that I know of, where

'the turture' has been metted out on spouse - both

male as well as females.

The latest victim of turture by female is my yourger

brother whose wife had made her life hell. And when

he filed for divorce, the girls side has implicated

the entire family (boys side) in false criminal case.

Therefore, I just propose that the study should be

done as 'violence or turture' on spouse (irrespecive

of gender i.e. male or female).

If the fraternity wishes, I can very well give the

Birth details of my younger brother as a matter of

study. Here you may also find out the kind of

problems my mother had to face when she was newly wed.

This is my humble offer and submission.

Best regards

Vivek Sinngh

Dear Sunil ji,I think we can address all cases of abuse and harassment in the same manner, if we just see abuse independent of marriage. Physical or mental abuse can be caused to a person by anyone, a parent, sibling, husband, wife, friend, teacher, in laws, etc. Let husband or wife be the party, then it comes under marital discord also.

As Vivek ji has pointed out, harassment by girls and girls parents is becoming very common now. I was suggesting a similar way of analysing when in one of the messages in this thread I had said,What should we look for in a chart to see if there is a case of domestic violence?

A lagna which is afflicted (where and by whom)? .... physical abuse A moon which is afflicted (where and by whom)?.... mental abuse

Who seals the marriage (is it the planet in 2nd house which is the 8th of 7H and is the vocal chord of the chart)? Is it also the 6th house which is 12th from 7H and a house of disputes anyways.?

Now, if we are able to identify the cause (jeev) that is afflicting lagna or moon if any, we'll reach the point of abuse. The heavier the affliction with adverse dashas and transit can tell us about the severity of the problem.

Just a hypothetical example, suppose a person has a malefic 3L which afflicts his 7H/7L and lagna/LL. Similar affliction is seen from various other angles also. Can't we see that the person might be abused by his brother or father in law or any other jeev represented by the 3rd house. Depending upon the placements of planets, navamsh and related vargas, age of the person, dasha in operation, transits, desh, kaal and patra, I think we can trace out the jeev that might be abusing the person, and the severity of it.

I hope I am able to make myself clear.Lets see if we can see this in the data being given by Mr Vivek.RegardsneelamOn 21/02/2008, sunil nair <astro_tellerkerala wrote:

Hare rama krishna

dear neelam gupta ji

I find Our old astrologers generaly treat each bhava as lagna and see what are the anubhava one can get from that based on bhava, bhavesh ,karaka theorey .And some are not even going to intricate vargas .

they just see dasas and the above combinations and may be combining with transits .

so with peice of paper in frnt they could tell a lot of things ,than todays a big file and all lot of calculations

Just i was refering it .But we need to perfect more
