Guest guest
Dear Udupa ji, KalaPurusha means, "Time Man"; Time Personified. You can consider it as similar to Maha kala (Great Time) concept with is synonymous with God Siva. Mahakala IS Siva, Kala Purusha IS Siva. Or may be such comparisons are not necessary and just knowing the true meaning of the words such as Kala Puruaha (Time Man) and Maha Kala (Great Time) is enough to get the true feel. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh ji I tend to agree with you. Kala also has the meaning " Yama " , who is supposed to take us away when our " time " on this earth is over. For Yama, I undersatand Lord Shiva is the boss. Hence Kalapurush may be Shiva. My view is, in the context of astrology " Sun " must be considered Kalapurusha. It is Sun, and only Sun who gives us the sense of time and all time is measured with Sun as reference. Sun is Atma in the context of astrology. As per karma theory it is the journey of Atma coming again and again on this earth thro different bodies. Hence Sun becomes the kaaraka for health, and th bhava(s) that is(are) afflicted both from Sun and Lagna becomes a source of disease for the native, and all diseases are, I understand, are part of karma. Your views are welcome.Regards,UdupaOn Mon, Mar 3, 2008 at 1:02 PM, Sreenadh <sreesog wrote: Dear Udupa ji, KalaPurusha means, " Time Man " ; Time Personified.
