Dear Sunilji,My general approach towards analyzing charts is: looking out for planet placements, planetary drishtis, exaltations/debilitations, parivartanas, karakas, any yogas, planets strengths, avasthas, ashtakavarga, divisional charts, and so on. While doing such analysis I simultaneously keep a look for the dashas running. I am not sure where I read it (some old book in my mother's library, probably book by KP), where they say that drishtis of within 30 degrees, around 60 degrees, 72 degrees, 120 degrees, 144 degrees, are good, while 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees, 150 degrees are bad. This seems logical since they represent conjunction, sextile, trine, etc which are auspicious. Western astrology too consider this. Also the house number between planets are considered, i.e., if 5th house and 120 degrees then double good, but 5th house and 135 degrees means average. My knowledge about this obvious may be very raw, maybe someone might help me here. But coming

back to experiences, I have seen extremely good horoscopes (planets in 11th house and their dashas running) but the native infact suffering. In such cases, the planets are mostly at 45 degrees from lagna. Also, the degrees between dasha lord and antardasha lord seems to play a very important role in the dasha-anatardasha smooth running. These are my practical experiences. I hope we all can keep a look out for these. I have done such analysis for numerous charts and am quite confident of such approach for predicting results during dashas. thanks for the mail .

But if u can giv a write up abt it ,it will be more better as memebrs can test it .and we can reply with what ever they come out .

here what i mean is any principle in jyothisha here we r testing and let us discuss with our reasons and observations and actual life happening ,once the memebrs under stood it they also will try on known charts and then we can be more sure of it .

Dear Sunilji,I shall surely give a very basic and preliminary write-up as soon as I am free . As I am studying in UK its not possible to go thru the book once again that is there with my mother in Bangalore. If possible I shall contact her over phone and ask her some more details. Anyway, I have found its importance while predicting results in dasha to be very important. Hopefully, this sextile, semisextile, trine, etc approach can be verified more with experience rather than theories. Regarding references I am a very bad person at this because I have a terrible memory , hopefully you, Shreenadhji, Neelamji can help me here .Regards,Vijay.sunil nair <astro_tellerkerala wrote: Hare rama krishna, dear vijay ji , thanks for the mail .
