De-mystify_Astrology_Makara_Sankranti

Dear Members,

All the groups & members in India celebrating Sanskranti or Pongal as it is called in different regions, prompted me write slightly different to what is circulating around...{I hate to be a Xerox or Photocopying machine}.

Sun's entry to a sign is a day of Sanskranti. So we have 12 Sankrantis. Why celebrate this only. Harvesting depending upon the region & irrigation, one may have 2-4 crops a year. So technically this should be celebrated 2-4 times...??

Uttarayan & Dakshinayan....we all know....shortest day, longest day....etc..... {for our astro_dummies_guide click the links below}

The above is common knowledge in basic_astrology, now to give a twist or spin,....the point is Sun entering Capricon.....in Mythology, Sun=Father, Saturn=Son, they have love & hate relationship....{ we will revisit this again as we go ahead}.

i.e. interpreted like this Father is coming to Son's house....{Capricon = house, Aquarius = House, but side by side or adjacent to each other !! So Saturn has two houses adjacent to each other, Unlike Mars, who also has two houses, but multiplication factor - "EIGHT or 8" needs to be accounted, Jupiter has multiplication factor "TWO or 2" }.

The point Sun going to Son's house is the cause of celebration . Because of mutual love & hate relationship, father is leaving the house, early...i.e. shortest time...unlike other signs {signs=houses i.e. homes /residence}.

Rider No.1 :

All those who have experienced Sun Mahadasha, look into your Sun-Saturn periods...and see interactions with your father !! during this specific period. How direct or indirect they are.......intensity or frequency

{Ignore good or bad position in the hororscope or 5HL & 9HL connections.... for moment, for we have NOT read many astro_scriptures like Mr. Sreenadh and hence, do NOT want to compete with him....for I am sure He is going to say this is NOT in scriptures....hence ....etc.}.

Let us go little philosophical after some "winter fire" we all had to warm ourselves from cold weather i.e. good exchanges 2HL in Lagna wherein Ash, Krishna, Sreenadh, Jyoti....wrote long mails passionately....!!... Actually, there is NO animosity in planetary relations,....for it is very evident all Children of Lord Sun were exemplary figures by any yardstick i.e. Lord Yama Dharmaraj - who said to be Supreme Judge of Heavens/Hell, Mahabharat Karna for his generosity, our own Lord Saturn, younger brother of Lord Yama Dharmaraj, known for his strict disciplinary methods, else would send strong "adverse report" card to his elder brother. = All together again represents father i.e. Lord Sun is again upholder of Dharma, passionate, ruthless in administration,...etc..

Samething, why Mother -Son relation should be bitter {Moon-Mercury}.....sounds odd. Luckily Jupiter-Mars seems to have god relations....!!

So how is it such a learned distinguished JUDICIOUS per sons to talk about hatred...?? Surely this are coined by the splinter "ginger" or "chilli" groups. Such generalization has been made for better communication with general public.

Basic Guidelines:

2) State by your OWN understanding, if the planets Sun or Saturn or..etc.. how they are placed...Excellent or Good or Satisfactory or Bad

3)Excellent=Exaltation, Good=Moolatrikona, Satisfactory in kendra or trikona, Bad=Debilitation.

4) knowledgeable members, can consider "navamsa" position when stating about placement. But mention it that you are a astro_PRO, somewhere in the begining...so that astro_AMATEUR,....for differentiation.

a) Sage Manu - who wrote the Manu Smriti i.e. Laws of the society

 

b) Demi-Goddess Jamuna or Yamuna - Is a holy river....New Delhi is on

the bank of this river.

dear Mr. sreeram srinivas,

the above statement is bit confusing. sun stays in

each sign only for a month. so where is the question

of it leaves capricorn and aquarius early.

reg my strained relationship with my late father it

started in Rahu dasa ketu bhukthi and contd in venus

bhukthi and in sun bhukthi I left the house and set up

my family (my wife and kids), this happened in Jun

1983. for me sun is in 8th house from vrcihika lagna

and it is debilitated in the 3rd navamsa. in my natal

chart rahu is in 6th in mesha andketu in thulam.

 

I wud also like u to give ur opinion abt sri Avatar

krishen kaul's theory that we are celeberating all the

functions plus thithis on the wrong days and he says

that surya siddhantha followed by varahamira,parasara

have committed a fraud on vedas by fixing such wrong

dates and thithis.

In one of my mail i asked him to give documented

evidence that festivals were conducted on the right

days prior to surya siddhantha, for which he has asked

me to chek all his files like mahesh, bvb6 doc etc and

that i will find the answer. his programms on mahesh

are corrected degrees of longit and latitude of

planets in relation to vernal equinox. However i am

not competent to talk on this area. so i am yet to

find a convincing answer to his rash statements abt

fraud committed on vedas.

Good to read your email.....find you have tremendous patience in reading those long emails of Mr. Avatar Krishen Kaul,.....honestly.....inspite of his postings for many years in almost every known astrology group....could not read completely one single email......

Coming to your event, the separation happened during the Sun Mahadasha, as I understand...kindly correct me otherwise....

Gopuji, you must have also experienced the Moon Mahadasha....kindly your Moon-Mercury periods.....Mars-Jupiter period.....should you have other co-borns......

I agree to your point that Sun stays in a sign for a month,....I am just taking a "extract of time" trying to compare with general...thing....that when a person comes to meet you for a moment, there is a element of "emotional pulls" generally happens to extend the stay...hence the layman comparision of "shortest day"....

Where there is mutual liking....the stay may extend to one year(s)....i.e. Pluto or Uranus in a sign !!! {taking a humor shot at outer planets...}

I have mentioned the email to be totally a NON_Astro type of email.....for that very reasons...you have mentioned Capricon + Aquarius = 2 months.......to engage other general members...

dear sreeram srinivas,

I was born in the year 1948 under uthiram phalguni

star, so the surya and moon maha dasa was over between

1948 to 1961. if i recollect my father had done more

of pampering to my elder brother and almost nil

towards me. but whereas my mother had a balanced

approach. And my separation was in Rahu maha dasa and

not in surya maha dasa. we are four sons and 2

daughters to our late parents. however i strongly feel

that sun in the natal horoscope as a role in

relationship to father.
