Guest guest
Dear All, You might have heard the words - Kendra, Panaphara and Apoklima. As everybody knows -Kendra = 1-4-7-10 housesPanaphara = 2-5-8-11 housesApoklima = 3-6-9-12 houses This much you have already read from numerous books; but now let us approach these words in our own way. ;)Kendra (center): Kendra means 'Center' - certainly Lagna is the native - we are centered on ourselves; 4th is our family and native place - our life is centered on our family and native place; 7th is wife and desires - our life is centered on our wife and desires; 10th is job/profession and fame - our life is centered on our profession and fame. It is curious to note that Kantaka (thorn or work place) is another name for Kendra. All these house (1-4-7-10) causes the daily pain; they are the daily work place; we cannot escape from them! Especially don't think of escaping from your wife and daily headache caused by her. But along with pain the same houses gives pleasure as well - 4th is sukha stana (happiness); 7th is Kama stana (fulfillment of desires); and 10th is Kham (the sky - the enlightened happiness and nothingness); and of course Lagna the body is cause of pleasure as well as pain. Panaphara (money related): Actually is a distorted pronunciation - the actual word is 'Pana-para'. 'Pana' or the old copper coin that was popular throughout indian in ancient times. 'para' means 'about' or 'related'. Thus 'Panapara' means 'money related' or 'wealth related'. 2nd house is wealth; 5th is children our wealth; 8th is the daily bread - or the things like near house land or other income which provides us the income for our daily lively hood (other than income from job/profession). 11th is profit/income as everybody knows. So all these houses are essentially related to money and that is why the word 'Panapara'. Apoklima (expense of wealth): Actually is is a distorted pronunciation - the actual word is 'Aya-klema', as many Jain texts on astrology puts it. 'Aya' means 'income'; 'klema' means 'weakness' , 'becoming less', 'expenditure' or 'destruction'. Thus 'Aya-clema' means 'expanse of income' or simply 'expense'. We spend money for ourselves and for the body - so 12th house decreases the wealth; we spend for our family and relatives - so 3rd house decreases the wealth; we spend for our wife (remember her insistence for all those sarees, churidars, jewelleries, cloths, cosmetics and so on!!) and also to fulfill our desires - so 6th house decreases the wealth; we spend for our parents (10th is father) and to maintain the profession and status - so 9th house decreases the wealth. Thus 3-6-9-12 houses denote 'expense'. 9th being 12th from the house signifying father indicates another special kind of Rina - debt, which should be paid of - The 'Pitr Rina'. It is the duty of every good son/daughter to look after their parents and thus pay off the debt accumulated on us because they looked after us, raised us. As per hindi scriptures - it is one o the major debts - and clearing this is expense of wealth and that is another reason for 9th being in the list of expense. So the point is, by now we know, all these 3 words - Kendra (center), Panapara (money related), and Ayaklema (expense of wealth) are words originated in Sanskrit and NOT adopted from anywhere else!! It is from Sanskrit that these words migrated to lands outside india and came back to india in their modified form as Kendra, Panaphara and Apoklima and us - ignorant as we are - is using it without even trying to correct the pronunciation in its distorted form!! Just see how clearly they reflect the meaning, and how easy it is to understand their meaning - simply if they are pronounced correctly!! You write as if astrology is applicable only to you men...who think that they are a privileged species Just notice what you have written... 1. 7th is wife and desires - our life is centered on our wife and desires; Glad to know that men's lives are centered on their wives...yet what if this dictum is applied to a female native? 2.Especially don't think of escaping from your wife and daily headache caused by her.
