RE:Reason Job of the native - Answer!

Dear Krishnamurthyji,

I did not read this mail and tried to answer your poser without plotting the horoscope and using Kiranramaji's observation on the ASCENDENT and on 10th house being empty. Considering only these 2 observations I considered the strength of the swagrahi Sun and its aspect on 7th house which was sure to influence his trade, his place of work and himself. This is based on observations of some great astrologers ( they are no more ) who used to chide my atempts at prediction saying that it is important to understand "phaladhesh" and strengths of planets which sometimes overshadow oyher aspects.

These people have amazingly predicted/pointed out number of brothers a person has just on the basis of placement of karka graha. I think more experienced members need to throw more light on these principles.

Thanks to all those who have responded. I did not post this case to test anyone's knowledge. Even after knowing the profession of the native, it was a challenge for me to see it logically by reading the horoscope. I wanted to know what all approaches people might employ to correctly identify the profession.

I notice that the following people have responded to my request:

Ash

Sreenadh

Ramesh Mishra

Kiran

Durga

Everyone has identified that Mercury could be the planet influencing profession. Ash pointed out that the person is sharp (intelligent) , that is correct. Kiran has mentioned that the native got a boost in his career between 2002 to 2005, that is close. But, only Ramesh Mishra ji was correct in idenifying the right profession. The native is a practicing Lawyer for more than 20 years now! He has not done anything else since he gradutated as a lawyer.

Possibly, the missing angle: Once it was identified that Mercury rules profession, probably it was necessary to also look at what are the planets that Mercury influences in the Rasi Chart. In this particular case, Mars is with Mercury and both of them have Jupiter as samasaptaka. Notice the exact aspect between Mars and Jupiter! In my personal opinion, the exact aspect is as strong as a conjunction (Sreenadh ji, I am not saying that they are same ). I guess this Mars/Jup combo made him a lawyer. This is my take and I hope to get comments from you.

I could only look at this angle as I knew the answer. Otherwise, I would have also missed it.

More details about the native:

His qualification is BSc., LLB. After he completed his education he joined a reputed lawyer's office in Bangalore as an assistant (around 1986). Slowly, he started handling small cases independently. Later, he just dependeded on his boss to pass on the cases that were coming to him. His boss was getting more than he could handle and would pass on the cases to other lawyers under his umbrella for a fee. As time passed, the native was only using the office space of his boss and was was independent for all practical purposes as people started to approach him directly. His boss also did not mind this as he was also having enough clients. Mars is the yogakaraka for the chart and Mercury is exalted. I think his fortunes improved considerably during Mercury-Mars period. I could see this as he bought a big car during this period (2001). In 2005 (Mer-Jup, according to Lahiri), he opened

his own office and came out of the shadow of his boss. Now he has hired an assitant lawyer and a steno to help him out and to do the leg work.

Hope this excercise has opened up a new angle to focus on. In any case, I hope Mishra ji will share with us his reasoning for identifying the profession as Lawyer.

Dear Sreenadh ji, Please find my observation below your statements: * He is a Criminal Lawyer. He mostly handles civil cases. Might have handled criminal cases as well. But, I am not very sure. * He has some disputes or difference of opinion with his father. I would say yes. His father sometimes behaves strangely and rudely, even unprovoked. He keeps the interaction to minimum to avoid confrontation. As he is the only son, he feels it is his responsibility to take care of his parents in their old age. And,

he is doing his best in that direction. * He got a beautiful wife, but never finds much time to spend time happily with his wife and children, and is always busy with his job and outside friends. He has a beutiful wife. Even after 19 years after their marriage, she looks quite young lively. It is true that he never finds much time to spend with his family. It is mostly due to workload and not because of friends. He has very few friends. He wakes up around 6:30 am, starts his daily routine and spends good amount of time preparing for the court cases of that day and receving calls. He leaves home for his office around 9:30am, later attends courts, comes back to his office to prepare for the next day and meet clients, eventually returns home by 10:30pm or 11pm. His wife doesn't like this hectic routine. But, got used to this routine continuously for 19 years and kind of accepted

it as her fate. But, he makes it a point to take his wife out on Saturday evenings without fail for entertainment and shopping. Again, rushes to his office on Sunday to meet his clients. So half a day per week is what he has reserved for his wife and family. * He got some special interest in poetry, singing etc None, no time for all this! * He charges very high and not trustworthy and is much money/business minded. I can't answer this as I don't know about how much he charges and whether it is fair. * He is very efficient in his job, and is reputed for his crooked talents. He has a good customer base, must be doing well. I have not seen any crooked behaviour in our circle, could be using it to handle some of the court cases. I can not rule that

out. * He has some special interest in speculation and share market - and has invested much money in the same and gets benefitted by such deposites. Totally incorrect. Dear Krishna Ji , Sreenadh Ji , Ash and all, My process of judging the profession of this native was as below. Birth details- DOB 26 Aug 1963, TOB- 07:05 AM,Bangalore 12N58, 77E 36. In this chart 10th lord from lagna and Sun is Venus who is in the navamsa of Mer. Therefore Mer is the one planet responsible for selection of job. 10th lord from Mo is itself Moon who holds the navamsa of Ve . So Venus is no.2 planet deciding for his nature of job. 10th lord of navamsa is also Mo conjunct with Ra . This indicates the clever mentality of the native. As you all know Ra is very clever and deceptive planet. Now come to D-10 chart. Here 10th lord is Ju This Ju is influenced by Ma, Me,and Sa. Now I arrived at the decision that Me, Ve and Ju are these three planets who can give the job of their nature to the native. Now let us come back to

rasi chart. In rasi chart Me is conjunct with Ma in 2nd house and Ju is samsaptak from them. This Ju is again influenced by Ma, Me and Sa. Ju is again influenced by Ma and Sa in navamsa. Who is Ju here in rasi ? Ju is another lawyer opposing Me. It is very important for a lawyer to become an eloquent speaker (Me in 2nd house ), argumentive ( Ma) and to face his opponent (Ju). Here I took help of KAS. There may be slight difference in placement of planets in navamsa due to different ayanamsa. According to KAS the lagna , Su and Mo falls in three sectors of Me and Ve in D3, D9 and D30 chart. Me being in three sectors tell that the native might be skilled in his profession and a good orator. Ve tells that he should be liking music, arts , luxury and acting. I discarded Venus because I am getting his interest more towards Me. He may be

liking music and ats as his hobby. To conclude I thought he should be doing the job of lawyer. I paid more attention towards Me and Ma in 2nd house and placement of Ju in 8th house , opposite of 2nd house. The role of Sa is here to attract the people because Sa represents public and masses. In my personal opinion, the exact aspect is as strong as a conjunction (Sreenadh ji, I am not saying that they are same ). I guess this Mars/Jup combo made him a lawyer. This is my take and I hope to get comments from you. I could only look at this angle as I knew the answer. Otherwise, I would have also missed it. More details about the native: His qualification is BSc., LLB. After he

completed his education he joined a reputed lawyer's office in Bangalore as an assistant (around 1986). Slowly, he started handling small cases independently. Later, he just dependeded on his boss to pass on the cases that were coming to him. His boss was getting more than he could handle and would pass on the cases to other lawyers under his umbrella for a fee. As time passed, the native was only using the office space of his boss and was was independent for all practical purposes as people started to approach him directly. His boss also did not mind this as he was also having enough clients. Mars is the yogakaraka for the chart and Mercury is exalted. I think his fortunes improved considerably during Mercury-Mars period. I could see this as he bought a big car during this period (2001). In 2005 (Mer-Jup, according to Lahiri), he opened his own office and came out of the shadow of his boss. Now he

has hired an assitant lawyer and a steno to help him out and to do the leg work. Hope this excercise has opened up a new angle to focus on. Dear Krishan ji, Thanks for the clarifications - such feed backs will help me much in improving my understanding. As about the negated result such as "his interest in music/poetry/singing/acting" is concerned, I think since Remesh Mishra ji also corroborated it some arguments - the derivation should hold the ground to some extend. The other negated result such as "interest in speculation", might be manifesting in some other way in a lawyer's chart and not as an interest in share market- ya, I would have to correct my understanding. He has a beutiful wife. Even after 19 years after their marriage, she looks quite young lively. It is true that he never finds much time to spend with his family. It is mostly due to workload and not because of friends. He has very few friends. He wakes up around 6:30 am, starts his daily routine and spends good amount of time preparing for the court cases of that day and receving calls. He leaves home for his office around 9:30am, later attends courts, comes back to his office to prepare for the next day and meet clients, eventually returns home by 10:30pm or 11pm. His wife doesn't like this hectic routine. But, got used to this routine continuously for 19 years and kind of accepted it as her fate. But, he makes it a point to take his wife out on Saturday evenings without fail for entertainment and shopping. Again, rushes to his office on Sunday to meet his clients. So half a day per week is what he has reserved for his wife and family.

* He got some special interest in poetry, singing etc

None, no time for all this!

* He charges very high and not trustworthy and is much money/business minded.

I can't answer this as I don't know about how much he charges and whether it is fair.

* He is very efficient in his job, and is reputed for his crooked talents.

He has a good customer base, must be doing well. I have not seen any crooked behaviour in our circle, could be using it to handle some of the court cases. I can not rule that out.

* He has some special interest in speculation and share market - and has invested much money in the same and gets benefitted by such deposites.

Totally incorrect. He is scared of investing in anything speculative. Most of his investments are in bank deposits.

* He got too many friends and foes but is unafraid of them, and loves controversies and fights.

He has a very few friends. He gets easily swayed by the opinion of his very close circle friends - a couple of them only (I am not one of them). He seldom changes his views once formed. He is strongly opinionated on any subject. Goes to any length to defend his point of view. I have not seen him getting involved in any fights in the friends circle though.
