Guest guest
Dear All, * I use this occasion also to laugh at the people who where boasting about numerous methodologies and ran away when it came to real test - fearing even to attempt. ) You know the names and so I don't have to tell. I am companionate towards those cowards - poor guys - I feel you too may feel the same. * They don't know how to walk and boast they can fly!! They don't dare to fall, and do you believe they will ever learn to walk? * Ooosh...! Poor kids..! Don't worry...Run away when the test comes, try to act gurus when there is no real struggle - and harvest the carrier and mony - mamma taught you this trick or what? ) If I am not saying this, it won't be sincerity from my part - so just expressing the feeling. Anyway thanks to even those who hide their faces as well - because they teach us what methods to follow - means - don't follow their methods... lol.. Let us all together correct our basics learn the merits and demerits of our approaches and LEARN from experience. Love, Sreenadh
Guest guest
The blind chart reading is a good test of our understanding of principles - Because if we can apply the principles to past happenings and validate the principles - we can then use it for refining our prediction skills In post-mortem it is very easy to give reasons - One can find lots of good things knowing it is SAchin Tendulkar's horoscope, one can rectify Bill Gates' birth time till it becomes great Looking forward to more such quizzes so that we all refine our understanding and learn , " Sreenadh " <sreesog wrote: > > Dear All, > * I use this occasion also to laugh at the people who where boasting > about numerous methodologies and ran away when it came to real test - > fearing even to attempt. ) You know the names and so I don't have to > tell. Many many many prominent learned scholar did not participate cause some of them having their exams and some of them were sick.. It was not appropriate to use "laughing" term for these people. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh, I am really inspired by the correct reading that Durga made of the blind Quiz. May be the real Durga has appeared in disguise. Oohapohapatuh siddhamantro janati jatakam. So we have in Durga a great mind and intellect combined with mantra siddhi. I did not practice any such mantra or gain any such kind of siddhi as to answer a blind quiz correctly. So sometimes I feel that I am a coward - a man failed to utilize the opportunities he had. The piece of wisdom for which I appreciate Sri KN Rao is the account he gave of Moorkhananda Svamiji. The name Moorkhananda meant 'One who failed to keep his resolutions' . I always considered myself one such guy - a man who rejoice at his cowardice. In the blind quiz, no body gave any correct timings. May be people had doubts on the accuracy of birth time and so none discussed the navamsa or dasamsa correctly. Without knowing the profession, how could anybody ascertain the Dasamsa Lagna. Whether the native was a Sannyasi or a laukika also the chart gives no simple answer. Classical principles are in conflict in the case of the chart you gave. When facing destiny, we are all cowards. I am not offended by your words. In fact I am happy that you gave the right description. We all become fools, cowards... depending on time and circumstances. All the so called modern tools discovered in astrology are expressions of Chitta-Bhramam. Ambition driving paranoic guys to perpetuate their names. Sri KN Rao, BV Raman etc are best example. See the AM collapsed - think of the fate of the moral preachings they have been making, Vastu with which people were exploited. Now the Rao & co will also collapse... Let's not worship such idols - break all these idols and leave their pseudoscience asde to discover the truth of Jyotisha. When we realize that we are cowards, the door is opened for wisdom. Let's realize that we are cowards instead of selfstyled Gurus and Mihiras and try to learn the great science. chandra hari , " Finn Wandahl " <finn.wandahl wrote: > > Dear Sreenadh, > > >>..I use this occasion also to laugh at the people who where boasting > about numerous methodologies and ran away when it came to real test - > fearing even to attempt. ) You know the names and so I don't have to > tell. Guest guest
Finnji,I disagree with you:1. Sreenadhji has done much for this forum - with his uploads on principles - he has greatly enhanced all our learning. If you see other forums: there has been very little effort on enhancing learning of group2. Sreenadhji has taken great pains to do this exercise - and enhance learning of group. It is duty of all participants to try and participate in the exercise. If all these D-2 to D-300 are useful, why don't the preachers show its credibility to us in the blind chart exercises?3. Astrology cannot be abt using planets for convenience. Guest guest
Dear Memebers, I am just a silent observer and I am finding great things happening in this forum whereas in others just chart reading, please help me mails etc., occupying the members too busy there. First of all, I am very glad to see learned members coming forward and sharing their thoughts and their graceness in accepting any failures and showing great attitude towardings learning in this big ocean of astrology. The exercise done by Sreenadh ji has helped this forum in many ways. 1. For novice like me, I get to know how professionals approach when they are given a problem. I am able to see what modeling these learned members are using so that I need not repeat the whole process again whatever the learned members went through. The learning is made in leap and bounds. Thank you so much for this to all the learned memebers. 2. The entire attitude of this forum is very very positive where in others it is usually ego clash. People are coming forward and sharing their views openly without worrying about whether it could be right or wrong. That is what most needed to learn from all educated members. 3. It gave many paradigm shift to many learned members too. Till now they might have thought their process might be good enough. But this exercise has rekindled their paradigm and to look at others methodologies what they do. So it creates the basic openness state of mind to LISTEN to others views otherwise which is blocked by ego and stubborn mindset that my view is correct. Until a paradigm shift happens, nobody will agree to others views. So this exercise made the paradigm shift to everybody whoever participated and not participated. 4. I highly appreciate Sreenadh ji's relentless interest in sharing and spending so much of his time for others and maintaining this beatiful group. I have a humble request to Sreenadh ji too. Being the primary moderator for this group, I request you dont be so much direct in words in pointing out if others made any mistake:-). I usually love this way since it directly enters in to my mind. But for most people will take it as hurt. You have done a lots and lots of hard work to make this group to become this much wonderful stage. Its your duty to maintain this integrated as ever. I am sure this exercise might have created so much interested in non-participated members too and they might have joined in the next exercise:-). Probably they might have been little reluctant whether the readings will be taken so much personal and hence decided not to participate. After seeing how things were taken, they would have participated too. Also sometimes it takes little more time to make that PARADIGM SHIFT to happen. Please let them take their own time. I am sure by sheer enthusiasm shown by this group will make them feel comfortable and all will become very open and direct. I am just telling this with great care towards our group since I am seeing how much hard work you are putting to the group and I would like to see your vision should be fullfilled in this group. Thanks a lot for all the learned members for sharing the knowledge for which you took so much pain to gather and happily giving them with sheer joy. Kudos to this great forum. Guest guest
Dear Chandrahari ji, I appreciate your sincerity towards astrology and research to the roots of this divine knowledge branch, advised by the sages. It is not only you but I am also a coward - especially in boldly approaching a horoscope. Yes, when facing destiny, (then too) we are all cowards. But as you rightly said - " When we realize that we are cowards, the door is opened for wisdom " . Yes, when we realize this boldly we can start from the basics - from ABCD, to rebuild and understand this great knowledge branch in a better way. Thanks for the inspiring words. Guest guest
Dear Shreenadh, Chandra Hariji, I think we should all act like cowards when it comes to making astrological predictions. Astrology in the present day remains an imperfect discipline. There are no perfect models of probability in astrology, be it ancient indian astrology, or any other astrology. Even though it is impossible to be 100 per cent correct all the time; even being 50 per cent correct 100 per cent of the times may be a difficult task when it comes to specific dates and perdiods. Even the best astrologers may fail. So where does all this lead us? Are we seeking to get to truth through astrology....or truth is far beyond and bigger than astrology??? Somehow, i feel disillusioned with astrology even though i am one with you in my appreciation of Durgaji's prediction. So far as past is concerned it is over and done with....and in some sense dead. So far as future is concerned a lot depends upon us. But it is the present in which all of us should live, isn't it? So say the sages. Where is the role of astrology in search for truth???(which i believe most of us are after?!) So should astrology be for entertainment, quizes,....or just a pursuit of knowledge....which may not necessarily lead us to truth? In the above circumstances if some kept away from participation in quiz they may be very sane rather than cowards, isn't it!!!!????:):):) Love, vinita , " K Chandra Hari " <chandrahari81 wrote: > > > Dear Sreenadh, > > I am really inspired by the correct reading that Durga made of the blind > Quiz. Guest guest
Dear Finn ji, First of all - I appreciate you for expressing your feelings sincerely. Now coming to the points mentioned by you (such as laughing at Goel ji, Rao ji, Hari ji etc as worded by yo)- * Clearly understand that NOBODY is laughing at any individual or insulting any individual - taking things personally is a WRONG APPROACH. As once Chandrahari ji puts it " sentiments does not have any value in sincere research " . The laughing is at the approach and baseless arguments and NOT at the individuals - KNOW it clearly. Now coming to the comments on individuals - * I appreciate and has good respect for Goel ji for his general awareness and knowledge - but certainly not towards the approach he took towards this exercise even with out an explanation. I am in support of SINCERE approach towards astrology and not towards the FAKE approach. I will continue to respect Goel ji for his knowledge and I don't think even goel ji will disagree about the truthfulness of the comments I made - If I am not mistaken in understanding Goel ji. He IS SINCERE but yet there seems to be some binding strings. * As of Chandra Hari ji, I have a great regard for him - which I believe is clear to me, you, hari. He is a great scholar who did much contribution to the cause of astrology, history and many other subjects through his through and sincere research and published works. Me and Hari are individuals who resonate to the thoughts of each other and as such I don't think Hari will in any way misunderstand me. Of course, he will not - and it is clear from one of his mails as well. He know how to take things in the right spirit. * As of Ramdas Rao ji - I don't know much about him and yet to see much knowledge reflected in his mails. We are yet to have much communication or sharing of knowledge - even though it is said that he is a guru in SJC, because of which all of us may expect valuable comments from him. I don't have anything personal against him as well - and will respect his contributions as as when he presents the same, or when I get in touch with his knowledge and awareness. ==> > I find it completely unacceptable that you call these respectable > astrologers cowards in public. <== I didn't named any member and as such the term used could only considered as one used to mention the approach - i.e. cowardice - and not the individuals. If you or any one else felt so - I apologize. ==> > They have every right to decide for themselves if they want to > participate in a competition like this without being insulted > afterwards. <== Know that - * It is NOT a competition, but only a LEARNING EXERSISE. There is a great lot of difference between the two. Please don't assume a learning experiment for a competition - that would be a mistake. * No member who participated in the exercise got insulted but only appreciated! Then why you are assuming that some one is insulting somebody else?! We are all learning together and in such exercises it is just natural to be either correct or wrong - what wonder is there in it, or mentioning it? Tomorrow some one else may post a blind chart and if I am attempting it, and bitterly fail, that is that an insult to me? I don't think. There is all possibility that it will happen for sure. In my experience - when I read 10 charts for sure, I used to miss at least three - I don't feel that there is anything wrong in accepting that. I am not worried about my name, fame or glamour, (I don't have much) the only thing I am interested in is - how much such exercises help me to identify the correct path, and learn from experience of mine and others. I believe every true seeker of the astrological wisdom may prefer a similar approach. * Thus every true participants gets appreciated - and it is an honor to be part of a group (here 15 scholars who attempted the quiz) and share and learn from their knowledge. I am much thankful to Durga ji for the reading she gave in the previous exercise - because it was an eye opener. I will comment on her mail - and share some points I noticed/learned from her mail, in another post. If not such an exercise was there - do you think we could have identified such an individual present in our group? * So be practical – we are all students and we are all friends – and this is a discussion group to share knowledge. The mails like the one I posted are just simple tactics to bring out the knowledgeable and make them participate in the exercises, so that we can learn from them. Know it as a fact. Hope all these helps. Love and regards, Sreenadh , " Finn Wandahl " <finn.wandahl wrote: > > Dear Sreenadh, > > >>..I use this occasion also to laugh at the people who where boasting > about numerous methodologies and ran away when it came to real test - > fearing even to attempt. ) You know the names and so I don't have to > tell. Guest guest
Dear friend, We are living in a society where the blind pats the blind and shamelessly wear the mantle of Gods. All such evils errupt may be as a time phenomenon when the society degenerates. So the sign of the times is within us - in our unscrupulous living. Jyotisha - its real use in life, especially in the spiritual progress can only be realized by the individual. Like other Sastras, Jyotisha too evolved from the Tantrik tradition and so the realization of its truth is individual oriented. Zodiac itself is the mathemtical expression of the experience of the Cosmos by Tantriks. How that experience can be regained or utilized for grace by common Man is the topic of Jyotisha. What Jyotisha can contribute to achieve the experience of the Cosmos within? How Jyotisha can be used to experience that Sun is the soul, Moon is the mind..? Remember, Surya is Pranasurya within us. So we have our breath tuned to the Sun. But under which computation this correlation between our breath and sun can be realized? Remember the following question and contemplate over it: Katham amoorthasya kalasya murttitvam uchyate? How the incomprehensisble time is credited with a limb structure in the Heavens? It is from the Tantrik breathing the Sastras evolved, especially Jyotisha. Music came later. Perhaps the first manifestation of Siva-svara is Ganita and then Sangitam emerged. Tune your breathing to Sun and then you will realize that there is only one being (micro+macrocosm) in the Universe and its breath is Sun. Once you find yourself merged with the Sun and the Universe, you will become Brahma. It is one of the Tattvas to be realized. Once that is realized, you can transcend that by Yoga. Yogi is one who is capable of that Sava_asana. Sit over the Brahma_pretam and then you will enter the world of Maya, Mohini and Vishnu. Above that is the world of Rudra, Isvara and Lalita etc. In this path at some stage the knowledge of Jyotisha is required and that is why it got incorporated as the eye of all knowledge. All real understanding follows only when man is devoid of the ego. As long as ego is there Chitttavrtti shall continue to exercise control like a software and Man will be an automated machine of Maya. chandra hari chandra hari , "vinita kumar" <shankar_mamta wrote:>> Dear Shreenadh, Chandra Hariji,> > I think we should all act like cowards when it comes to making > astrological predictions. Guest guest
Namaste Sreenadh Must say I am disappointed to read such statements – surely it is upto to individuals as to whether they wish to participate or Not? Why insult them by calling them “cowards and laughing at them”? May I suggest in future that perhaps Quiz’s results are Only given on Sundays – thereby giving everyone at least Saturday to make comments as one may not have had a chance to participate during the week due to other commitments? Regards ……. Jai Sita Ram Ram On Behalf Of Sreenadh 24 November 2007 14:25 Subject: Re: Blind chart reading - Quiz - Let us laugh at the cowards as well..
Guest guest
Good suggestion. Captain is right in expecting all the team members to participate in the game. When the master players choose the gallery, game ceases to be vibrant. Laugh may be only an awkward expression of inner anguish. I am really inspired by the time he threw into this game to thank everyone and in summing up the discussion. Except God everyone is a coward. It's all relative and nothing to be sensitive and serious about. His sense of humour went a bit astray... c.hari , "Ram Jaswal" <rkjaswal wrote:>> Namaste Sreenadh> > Must say I am disappointed to read such statements - surely it is upto to> individuals as to whether they wish to participate or Not? Guest guest
Thank you dear friend for reminding us about the greater significance of astrology. i will surely cherish your observations. " Zodiac itself is the mathemtical expression of the experience of the Cosmos by Tantriks. Remember, Surya is Pranasurya within us. So we have our breath tuned to the Sun. But under which computation this correlation between our breath and sun can be realized? It is from the Tantrik breathing the Sastras evolved, especially Jyotisha. Tune your breathing to Sun and then you will realize that there is only one being (micro+macrocosm) in the Universe and its breath is Sun. Once you find yourself merged with the Sun and the Universe, you will become Brahma " . I could only say WOW! to such statements. i am specially grateful to Shreenadh for exposing us to the knowledge of ancient indian texts and attracting knowledgable persons to this forum whose messages can be so inspiring. The structured discussions that take place here, the emphasis on " logic " and basic fundamentals of astrology make this forum unique in many ways. Of course, we may get carried away at times....but if there is a little bit of song and dance, it adds to the spice and colour of this unique forum. So let us all laugh from time to time...in this great study of TIME itself, as once Shreenadh said, is what astrology is all about. Maybe quizes like the one we had here provide a glimpse of the macro through the micro. Revisiting it my query is....if there are 3 vargottama planets including the Sun, the source of our breath, and Lagnesh, the " source " of our body, (which is exalted too) can a person ever have alpa ayu? , " K Chandra Hari " <chandrahari81 wrote: > > > Dear friend, > > We are living in a society where the blind pats the blind and > shamelessly wear the mantle of Gods. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh, >>...I didn't named any member and as such the term used could only considered as one used to mention the approach - i.e. cowardice - and not the individuals. If you or any one else felt so - I apologize...<< Apology accepted! >>...* No member who participated in the exercise got insulted but only appreciated! Then why you are assuming that some one is insulting somebody else?!...<< This is exactly my point! Those who participated, including my own good self, were appreciated, but those who didn't participate were called cowards by you and laughed at in public. This is bad behavior, especially by a moderator. Who knows, next time when there is a blind horoscope perhaps I am in a bad mood or busy occupied by something else or whatever. Can I then expect to be called a coward by you? Do I (or anyone else) deserve that? >>...Know that - * It is NOT a competition, but only a LEARNING EXERSISE. There is a great lot of difference between the two. Please don't assume a learning experiment for a competition - that would be a mistake...<< Sorry, but I for one got the impression that you yourself pointed out a winner... If this was the case, then it is a competition. >>...The mails like the one I posted are just simple tactics to bring out the knowledgeable and make them participate in the exercises, so that we can learn from them...<< In future please avoid such tactics. Let it be up to the members themselves to decide if they want to participate or not, and please do not insult those members who decide not to participate. After all, they may have any number of reasons for this. I do not object to running blind horoscopes as a learning exercise, but nobody should be forced or manipulated to participate in such exercises. Very friendly, Finn Wandahl
