Guest guest
Sreenadhji, Similar to your post " Lagna lord in various houses " , I have tried to come up with a post on " House Lord in different houses " Following are the general rules I have formed based on your Lagna lord in any house post and some of my understanding from books as well: Pls. verify that these are all correct and let me know if any additions are required: Henceforth HL will refer to the " House Lord " Say we are analyzing the 3rd house lord, then HL refers to it Rule 1: Planet in its own house (by implication: exaltation and friend's house also) will give very good results for everything signified by the house My understanding is that since the planet in own house is strong, it gives good results. Sub rule: If malefics are present in the own house, then the bad effects of the house are amplified Rule 2: House lord if benefic will strengthen the effects of the house it is in. House lord if malefic will weaken the effects of the house that it is in So if the House lord is in sustana, it will increase/decrease effects of sustana as per its benefic/malefic nature. Reverse is true for dustana My understanding is that to look at nature of the house lord, we should go by its functional beneficity nature as per lagna (e.g: for Cancer Lagna, Kuja is benefic) and not by the natural benefic/malefic nature. Sreenadhji, pls. confirm Rule 3: See what house the house lord aspects from the house that it is situated by way of Graha drishti (generally 7th house from it but special cases exist). Depending on the nature of the house lord, it will give good/bad results of the house that it aspects Graha drishti can be treated similar to placement in that house Here again, do we natural benefic or do we take functional benefic. Sreenadhji, pls. confirm Rule 4: If the house lord is in enemy house or debilitated, it will not give fruit to the results that is signified by it. Thanks Kiran
Guest guest
Dear Kiran ji, You took the wrong turn. The continuation of that thread should be - * 2nd Lord in various houses * 3rd Lord in various houses * 4th Lord in various houses and so on. Trying to derive rules for " house lords in various houses " is wrong turn many already took and the slokas relating to the same is available in plenty in many books, and became one of the base reason for confutation among astrologers. Too much generalizing can cause more trouble than help. Actually 3 to 5 slokas (i.e. less than 10 rules approx) is enough to cover this whole subject of house lord in various houses. Actually one of my major intentions in preparing that write up on 'Lagna lord in various houses' was itself to help people avoid this wrong turn. But any way, a good learning effort and so all the best in your studies.
