If we can not agree about a single paragraph how can we agree about the whole book? And about what that book would be?! Kaul ji is against astrology, and me in support of astrology - so the book cannot be about astrology. Kaul ji is after 'Vedic Calendar' reforming efforts - and I know nothing about it, and mostly after the non-vedic! So the book cannot be about 'Vedic Calendar or Calendar reform. I don't know much about history, neither does Kaul ji - so the book cannot be about 'History of India'. I don't know what path Kaul ji follows in spirituality, and most possibly it is not the path I took. So the book cannot be about 'spirituality' - further we such kids in such a subject shouldn't start speaking about it. Thus in short I wonder what your mail really mean! May be you don't know closely the 'strongest opponent of predictive astrology' present in - i.e. Krishnan Kaul ji. The fact is it is the only on indian astrology which has the caliber to accommodate a strong opponent of predictive astrology. And that is why Kaul ji enjoys it and we joyously watch his efforts. The point is – his sincere and we too are – and that itself is the fact behind mutual respect. Guest guest Posted November 2, 2007 Report Share Posted November 2, 2007 Dear Kiran ji, I always use the True Ayanamsa which is the Ayanamsa reflected in Surya Siddhanta, made popular and clarified by Chandra Hari. As per this, the Zero degree Aries is 120 degree away from the fiducial star Moola, which is very near to the center of our Galaxy Akasa ganga (Milkyway). It was this nakshatra, that was used as the reference point to divide the zodiac into signs and nakshatras - that is why the name Moola (Root). The importance of the point 120 degree away from it (i.e. starting point of Aries) is that, it is the point at which all the planet conjunct at the beginning of every yuga, as per the mathematical model proposed by Surya siddhanta (which is aimed at perfection of rhythm of planetary movements – this conjunction never occurs in reality, even though the planets would be very near to each other for small cycles of time). Now, the easiest way to use this ayanamsa in calculation would be to consider it as 46 minute more than Lahari Ayanamsa. Any astrology software that allows you to define a custom Ayanamsa can be used to get charts as per this Ayanamsa.
