KAS worksheets and Contributors

Dear Ash ji, Today I happened to read through the following acknowledgement in KAS worksheet. Definitely the document changed my opinion about the contribution and co-operation of many. To mention a few (who are known to me at least from ) - Sarajit Poddar, Sanjay Prabharakan etc. Good work! Ash ji, I will request you to convert the worksheets into a standalone desktop software. If you really want to use the worksheets itself and don't want to rewrite the whole code, then you can use then you can use the Microsoft web office components library (which provides instances of excel, word etc as an ActiveX component) to embed the worksheets in a Dot Net Form. A standalone, installable application could be more user-friendly and there is a better possibility that more people will start using it. Please think of it - I hope to see your worksheets as a stand alone application soon :)Love,Sreenadh ======================================

Acknowledgements

This worksheet is a culmination of many people's contributions. Both Ash and I wanted to make a total worksheet that did everything in one program instead of having to calculate the data from one place and enter it manually in another. Denis Laboure and Alan Ponsot contributed their French version of the worksheet which automated things even further. With their kind permission, I was able to revise and format this program to combine the two and translate it into English. We thank them both.

Sarajit Poddar was the creator of the entire automation of the planetary calculations that make it possible for you to enter your birth data and come up with the planetary placements for your chart. A special thanks to him for allowing Ash to use the code and adapt it to this program. Another special thanks goes out to Sanjay Prabharakan whose old worksheet had calculations for the Vimshottari Dasa that Ash used for this program as well. Both of these programs were modified specifically in order to for this program to work off of Krushna's ayanamsa and system only.

Sanjay Jaggia of course was one of the originators of the worksheet along with myself and alot of this work was built on his earlier contributions. Although we haven't heard from Sanjay in a long time, thanks goes out to him as well wherever he is.

Margarita Lettens has been invaluable with her sharp observations, accurate chart analyzations and has helped debug many errors from previous worksheet versions. We've also had great feedback from Manu Batura and Dadhi who have been helping in the debugging process as we go along. Manu gets all the credit for his contribution in putting in the Retrograde planets and the KAS Ayanamsa entry (KAY). Our thanks go out to all of them for their selfless efforts!

Special thanks to Ron Grimes who has more than once helped me out with especially complicated formulas that were very math intensive, as he is one of the finest programmers by trade and my very dear friend. Another special thank you goes out to Manu Batura who has been an invaluable aide in fine tuning Krushna's Ayanamsa using a precessional timing that is accurate to approx. 1 arc of a second, as far as the year 2400 and higher.

Both Ash and I have worked very hard putting in countless hours in order to make this a program that will put all of us on the same page. There is still much to be done, but for now, it's a big leap in the right direction.

And last but not least, our very special thanks go out to Krushna for teaching us this system, for without him, it would've been lost. There is still much to be learned from him, but for now, the building blocks are in place and ready to go.
