Guest guest
A planet can be exalted or debilitated or well placed in a birth chart - in terms of signs, but however, its amsa - it be exalted or debilitated. Example - Consider a Jupiter in Taurus with 25deg. 34 min. If one were to calculate its Navamsa - it falls in Captricon. This is what I meant. Let the learned members correct me on this with examples or wordings. I am not sure of the analysis in KP system. Hence, cannot comment. srinivas , " Haridas Udupa " <ahudupa wrote: Dear Sreeram, You seem to be excelling in mis understanding what is written. Not just spelling. You seem to be a psychologist and many other things packed into one piece! Hats off to you! By the way, how can any planet get exalted or debilitated in varga charts? Guest guest
Hello dear Shrinivas, I think that Jupiter can only go to Capricorn Navamsha from Taurus if it's situated there from 0 to 3'20 " .In case of 25'34 " it goes to Leo which is not so bad for Jupiter. Guest guest
Dear Elizabeth ji, You are right - Ju can have Capricorn Navamsa from Taurus if and only if it is between 0 to 3'20 " . (Dear Srinivas ji, please correct the mistake). But Elizabeth ji, I think the intend of Srinivas ji's example is clear enough. He was just referring to an example in which a planet debilitated in Navamsa. I think his actual intend was to give an example for a planet exalted in sign and debilitated in Navamsa. If so the following examples can help - Exalted in Sign - Debilitated in Navamsa ======================================== * Ju in Cancer between 23.20' and 26.40': Here the planet is exalted in D1 and debilitated in D9 * Sun in Aries between 23.20' and 26.40': Here too the planet is exalted in D1 and debilitated in D9 * Venus in Pisces between 23.20' and 26.40': Here too the planet is exalted in D1 and debilitated in D9 Debilitated in Sign - Exalted in Navamsa ======================================== * Ju in Capricorn between 23.20' and 26.40': Here the planet is debilitated in D1 and exalted in D9 * Sun in Libra between 23.20' and 26.40': Here too the planet is debilitated in D1 and exalted in D9 * Venus in Virgo between 23.20' and 26.40': Here too the planet is debilitated in D1 and exalted in D9 Note: The whole of sign in which the planet is exalted is considered as exaltation (the same is true for debilitation as well) - the Sanskrit word of the same is 'Ucha'. The degree at which 'maximum exaltation' is possible is called 'Paramoccha'. Here we are speaking about simple exaltation and debilitation alone - which applies throughout the sign under consideration. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh, Thank you for your explanation. I feel I am a completely beginner in Jyotish comparing to all knowledgable people here:). Can you explain how it works in real life-planets nicha/ucha in D1/D9 and otherwise with 2 samples: Friend on mine DoB: 23.03.1975 at 3:55 a.m.in Dzerzhinsk(Russia). He's got his Atmakaraka Mars ucha/nicha in D1/D9.How it effects Mars strenghts in his chart and being atmakaraka-soul significator planet-is it weak or strong? In my own birth chart-DoB 25.04.1979 at 6:35 in Riga(Latvia) lagna lord Venus is going from ucha(D1) to nicha(D9)?It placed there in 9th house along with Jupiter.Should the lagna lord be considered as weak planet in chart or strong? Guest guest
Dear Elizabeth ji, Chart reading requests are not appreciated in this group. The system followed here is a bit different - i.e. Some subject would be discussed in detail with references astrological classics, and then the charts with the same combination would be discussed to understand whether the logical result derived or shown by the quote is true or not in real life experience. * The current major thread of discussion is on 7-fold result derivation techniques. * The discussion on 'Astrology in Valmiki ramayana' a side thread (a thread that is of not much use to the practical astrology) * All the other threads just diversions. Please understand this tread of the group - and current focus. Unlike all the other groups - it proceeds with a focus and plan. Please reefer to the files section and previous messages in archive for better clarification. [since unnecessary posts gets deleted in time, you will find that the unlike all the other groups, the message archive in itself is a worthy reference, not at all cluttered with unnecessary posts] Love, Sreenadh , Elizabeth Stepanova <devata79 wrote: > > Dear Sreenadh, > Thank you for your explanation. > I feel I am a completely beginner in Jyotish comparing to all knowledgable people here:). > Can you explain how it works in real life-planets nicha/ucha in D1/D9 and otherwise with 2 samples: > Friend on mine DoB: 23.03.1975 at 3:55 a.m.in Dzerzhinsk (Russia). > > Kind regards, > Elizabeth > > > > > > For ideas on reducing your carbon footprint visit For Good this month. >
Guest guest
Thanks for pointing the error. I should have limited myself to degrees. In a hurry to post the message, did not look at things in detail.......the idea was to convey the message through the example about the planet status in birth and amsa positions. You have provide two horoscopes -Yours & a Friend, where the exaltation & debilitation happens in birth chart and amsa chart......We shall be touching the techniques of varga analysis shortly and this examples would be coming handy to confirm what our rishis have said in the scriptures holds true even today. Of the millions of combinations possible in a horoscope or astrology, our rishis have identified those unique combinations and gave their effects, which are coming true till date - that is where the vedic astrology or ancient Indian astrology is supreme Technically a particular planetary combination in horoscope repeats itself afte 2,600 years or 26,000 yrs. , considering the nakshatra positions of the planets also. Think about selecting the unique combinations being sorted by a human mind - this can come only through intuition or divine guidance and hence, the importance of what this rishis have said is paramount interest to us all. In my original mail, given a example of analysis for such combinations, you can apply them and see the results for yourself. Another example - In the recent visit of Queen Elizabeth { your namesake !!} to USA, my favorite & President of USA George Bush known for his Texas ways, was heard asking and saying to Queen - I have been the bad or the most mischevious person in my family - tell me who was in YOUR FAMILY !! Queen Elizabeth did not reply.....gave a serious look... Obviously we all know the spoilt kid was NONE other than Prince Charles. - born in "exalted" royal family, but his acts have been all shades of a "debilitated planet" !! Coming back to our focus - a debilitated planet { reference made is to the amsa positions - in line with ancient scriptures} spoils the bhava of the house in which he is placed and the houses it aspects. Similarly, a planet debilitated in birth horoscope, but exalted in amsa - gives good results, its aspects are also good. The scriptures have given results for being placed in a sign, then also for the amsa position. You need to map them both for arriving at final results. One need to consider the karattatwa of the planet also during analysis - Jupiter debilitation gives ego problems. Similarly Saturn getting debilitated in dashamsa, would effect the house in which it is getting debilitated. We have been doing a blind chart reading last week { + some experimentation in technical analysis} , where a exalted Mercury { Virgo Lagna} was debilitated in Navamsa. The native was suffering from partial paralysis. {Mercury - nervous system}. Each planet and house represents an organ of the body. I have mentioned in some of old emails that for a women it is necessary that she has 5H, 6H, 7H free from afflictions. Reason - 5H is stomach, 6H is abdomen and below, 7H is the private part. If any of this houses are afflicted then the women would have problems in child bearing. So a debilitated planet placement in any of this houses, causes problems according to its planetary attributes. Trust the above gives you something to contemplate and apply it in the horoscopes known to you....till we touch the vargas....... with regards, sreeram srinivas , "Elizabeth" <devata79 wrote: Hello dear Shrinivas, I think that Jupiter can only go to Capricorn Navamsha from Taurus if it's situated there from 0 to 3'20".In case of 25'34" it goes to Leo which is not so bad for Jupiter.
