Kula Daivam (Family Daity)

Dear Ramgopal ji,

The Kula daivam (Family deity/Dharma devata) is identified using the

4th house and not 5th house.

Read the 16th chapter of Prasnamarga - in which the subject is dealt

in detail.

In a nut shell the planets placed in 4th house and the 4th house lord

can indicate the Family deity (Kula daiva); the nature of the sign (4th

house) in which the planet is situated will determine the nature of the

deity. (i.e. Sun in various signs can indicate different Saiva deities;

Ju in various signs can indicate different Vaishnava deities and so

on). Determination of Kula devata (family deity) from the planetary

position related to 4th house is a big subject in itself, and so can't

be dealt with in a single mail. Read the 16th chapter of Prasnamarga,

you will get a better and detailed picture of the same; that is the

better solution.

Love,

Sreenadh

Dear atman

Where can I get prasnamarga please.

Also I was curious about getting detailed information

and significance about Panch Mahapurush Yogas. All the

books I referred have very scanty information. Anyone

is welcome to contribute to knowledge.

I can just give you my experiences with

the pancha mahapurush yogas.

I have two of them. One is Ruchaka and the

other one is Hamsa. In my Navamsa also I have Ruchaka.

My experience with these till date are

that they give person very high ideals. He just works for the welfare of others

using whatever means he can. No matter whether he gets rewarded(lesser

probability) or gets blamed for doing so and so. He/she helps the public at the

root level of the problem not just on the superficial level.

But one thing is for sure due to these

high ideals person with these yogas have to face uncountable number of

difficulties in his/her life. He becomes a persobn with such a varied

experience which no one else can think of. People although impose infront of me

that I am good for them but when it comes to pay back just a little they fly

away. So person with Pancha mahapurusha yogas has to fight throughout his life

for others and for himself.

But I do have a vaak siddhi sort of thing.

Whatever I say without thinking becomes true for others as well as for me.

Thanks and regards,

Amit Sinha

Dear atman,

There is a good book "300 important combinations" by Dr. B.V. Raman which gives the precise information about the most prominent 300 yogas including Panchamahapurusha yogas.

Prasha Marga and Prasna Tantra are also by Dr. B.V. Raman and available at Rajeshwari Publications, Bangalore. If needed I will send you the contact details.
