Om Datta GuruDear Sreenadh,Pls call me Sunil without the ji.1) There is method which is still in experiment stage by which the 'Starting Letter' (akshara) of a persons name can be predicted but the method cannot predict the full name - this is pure astrology method.2) a year back this method was used to predict to starting akshara of a person who was using a pen name called Soul Sadhak so her real name was not known - this prediction was done on the sohamsa list. This method was also used to predict akshara with success of the relatives of someone called Sundeep who writes by the name of astrosundeep if i remember well on the or rather ex-group of KNRao3) 3 yrs back when i was in Ramakrishna Paramhansa Library, I saw an old book called Gayatri Shastra which i always

wanted back but could not get that page again as i wanted to photocopy it, it said very clearly that 'An Astrologer who cannot predict the name of the persons spouse and the name of the town where he/she would come from is not an astrologer' - I know this is harsh and would not go down well with many here, but I have felt this is the truth, have thought about it very deeply, it makes perfect sense.4) I know about the questioning trick in nadi centres, its not a pleasant experience5) I presume u are talking of Bhattopala's Rudrabhatyiyam or which work, long back i had requested u to translate that same in english for us, can u post here or privately the method I would like to take it further with ur assistance.6) Getting tangential, I have had discussions with some astrologers who said what is the use of predicting even the starting akshara of someone, he already knows his or her name and it would just be showing off ones predictive

ability (which is what today astrology has become sadly) but i have dwelled far deeper into this aspect since the last one year and have realised that there is lot more that can be achieved by knowing the persons names etc, it is much more than what catches the eye u would agree maybe. Regards,Sunil John P.S: If someone has that book Gayatri Shastra pls let me know privately i always wanted reference of that page number for personal reasons.Sreenadh <sreesog Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2007 2:49:55 PM Re: Name of family members

Dear Sunil ji,

No, currently it is not possible to predict the name of family

members, or even the name of the native itself using astrology.

Bhattolpala gives some methods to derive the name of the native from

horoscope, but none of them helps us to reach atleast near the truth.

Forget normal astrology, even Nadi astrology does not have any "pure

astrological method" to arrive at the family members. What they do

currently is merely using a "questioning trick" to arrive at the name

(as I could understand from many direct experience at vaiteswaran

koil, in Tamil nadu).

Please let me know, if you know anyone who can do the same. Please

let me know. I would be happy to visit such astologers (Nadi, or non-

nadi) with you. As I could see: There is NONE. Yes, no astrologer and

no method to do the same.

Love,

Sreenadh
