Guest guest
Dear all, There are certain queries i would like to pose to the esteemed members of this forum to help me understand the influence of retro planets. 1. How does the effect of retro planets differ from direct planets? 2. What is the implication of having many retro planets in a chart? 3. I believe there are different stages thru which a retro planet goes thru....how can these different stages be assessed from JHL and is there any significant difference in impact from one stage to another? 4. Should an exalted retro planet be treated as debilitated? 5. If so, what is the impact of a debilitated malefic planet in an upachaya house vis-a-vis a direct malefic planet? e.g. retro Saturn in 6th House for Taurus Lagna vis-a-vis direct Saturn. Thanking u in advance, Best regards, Vinita

Guest guest
Sorry - no answer from me, just more questions. I have read that benefic retro planets gain strength becoming more benefic, and malific ones become weak thus becoming more malific. Others just say that retro planets delay things - it will yield results at a later age. Please any more insights into retrograde planets? I'm particularly interested in Jupiter and Venus. theblisswithin <theblisswithin wrote: dear all, Would a mars retro native ( in aries ) be less or more angry than a direct mars? Guest guest
Dear Shiva and Pada, Retro Mars in Ar has martial energy introverted, docile on the outside, rage inside- can burst at one point seemingly for no reasons. Retro planets: in general, it's not beneficial to have benefics retro, house significations as well as karaka significations are likely to suffer. However, one should never make any judgement about retro pl. either benefic or malefic, before determining if they are functional benefics or malefics. Karaka significations will suffer either way, though. Regards, Anna Pada Sevanam <carana_padma wrote: Sorry - no answer from me, just more questions. Guest guest
Dear Mrs.Wendy, Ha Ha. Mr.Chandu Chill's chart is a classic example for all the combinations. He is really a master in bringing out all the combinations available in the jyotish books and relate them to his own chart, yet calls himself a novice. Really humble. But a humorous gentleman it seems. When he mentioned that his chart is a classic example, it bought a good laugh and cleared my moods for the present. I hope he continues coming here again and again. Guest guest
Dear Madam, Thank you so much for your clarifications i.e. diff btwn SA and Parashara principles and approach. It is really interesting to learn and //As per the rules of Parashara, SU, MO, MA, JU are functional benefics for Aries whilst ME, VE, SA are functional malefics.// May i seek your further Inputs? In chart, 2 F/Bs SU, MO in 10th house along with 1 F/M Mercury. and i guess Mercury is CUMBUST and SU gets afflicted by this? Please do let me know and what are the general effects? of this combination.. Again, one more interesting point!! F/B Guru is in 11th ALONG with GRAND enmy SHUKRA!! that too in the house of GAINS!! I think this also creates an YOGA called DWI-KALATRA YOGA is that true?? Only F/B Mars is placed in Friend's house 9th BUT see here he is aspected by F/M Saturn Honestly with all these combinations, to me my chart is Classic Example of typical combinations BUT in practical life I was and is very happy and go-lucky guy until i made a BIG mistake (Marriage)that TURNED me to this Astrology. Still trying to learn. Any inputs/insights on above chart/combination are welcome. Guest guest
Dear Chandu Chill, Hello. You are a smart player. Somehow or the other, in whatever way you can, you are always eager to receive further inputs on your chart, and never tire of the same. The problem with replying you, is that, You will continue to keep on discussing on whatever points are replied to you, and I am scared of that because that would mean eventually, keeping your Chart open for the next few days and devoting full time to the same, and yet you may not be satisfied, as I have seen from past experience considering innumerous requests made by you to innumerous astrologers and same number of replies being made to You. And Yogas one can locate more than 200 in any chart. You can keep on coming with them for next decade. Therefore what should be my course of action, is to be advised by You yourself ? regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Chandu2chill " <nanna_id2006 wrote: > > > Dear Bhaskar Ji, > > //When he mentioned that his chart is a classic example, it bought a > good laugh and cleared my moods for the present.// > > It is nice to hear that, i made you to laugh when some people are > making you otherwise.(at sometime back):-):-) > > Anyway i always beleive and wants to make my friends, loved ones, and > all people around me to laugh, and feel good with me. there were some > instences where my FRIENDS cancelled Parties/Pick nick trips due to my > absence so much they like my humorous nature/jokes. > > But suddenly i lost everything like this Humor, confidence, etc due to > this marriage!!:-( non the less i am still Homorous BUT that real KICK > is not there as before!!:-( > > Tho Aap kripiya karke, mere prashnoka ka samaadhan de ne ki kasht utayega? > > Sun/Moon/Mercury in 10th House (Mercury retro) Kendra Lord - Saturn > Placed in 3rd House (Retro) Lagna Lord Mars in 9th house > > What and how should i analyse this? > > Is Mars is aspected by Saturn? Guest guest
Dear Shiva, I'm not sure I understand your Qs- perhaps you are talking about progressions- where one day symbolizes one year of life. In that case, whenever you see the planet stationary: ready to go direct, or retro, you can be pretty sure that year will be significant in the ways the planet represent. It's called 'change of direction'. And I've seen 'change' many times, indeed. Old books say that if a planet which was retro turns direct, energy of that planet become more 'extroverted'. Regards, Anna theblisswithin <theblisswithin wrote: Thanks Anna, I have heard ( tropically) that after a certain number of years ( one year for each day that the planet was retro for before birth) it goes direct. Does that hold true vedically true too. What would be a general advise/remedy for a native with this. thanks Shiva jyotish-vidya , " A.R. Guest guest
Dear Chandu, Sorry I am lately to answer your questions, but I see you've received some already. As Wendy said Sa is malefic for Ar Lagna- and for Libra Lagna it is benefic: the reason for that is saturn's moolatrikona of the fifth H. and for Ar-11th. The later is neither kendra nor kona,/upachaya/, therefore cannot be benefic. Re your question if malefics are bad as lords of good, kendra houses- yes they are. I fact it's beneficial to have malefic as lord of 'good' houses, because, if well placed will be better able to protect the house it owns and its signification. For the same reasons many consider benefic in good house unfavourable. Hope this helps, Regards, Anna Dear Madam, Thank you so much for your clarifications i.e. diff btwn SA and Parashara principles and approach. Guest guest
Thanks Annaji, Yes, that was the question. Does jyotish also believe in progressions and believes planets turn direct sometime in life. I believe my mars went direct 36 days after birth. So it will 'become direct' after 36 years even vedically? Or is that a tropical interpretation. If you could give references of some vedic based texts, that would be awesome. Guest guest
Dear Shiva, Thanks for your nice words. Mars running direct makes 36th year important , perhaps cereer wise, or serious decision making, etc. There is progression in vedic astrology as well- just to mention in tajaka, vashapal, with munta progressing each year of life. On the highest end of those who swear in progressions would be Richard Houck who completely embraced ALL progressions word-for word from western astrology: primary, secondary, tertiary. /My humble self, too/ I think that they DO work- hardly ever have I seen significant planet chanfing direction, not corresponding with related events. Besides, that as well as Mercury's change of direction is an easy way to get I client to trust you /get impressed, LOL/- mercury changes direction /and signs/ so frequently that it's perfect for timing events! Did I say they work? Hope this helps, Wishing you bliss within, Sencerely, Anna heblisswithin <theblisswithin wrote: Thanks Annaji, Yes, that was the question.
