It is 44 minutes more than Lahiri, right?

 

How many started to use this ayanamsa? Any proce and conce already out

on this?

 

I see that dasa times and placement of planets change and makes the

inferior and weak already curious !!!

Has it been time tested and tested on many charts to relate the events?

I am sure it has been, but would like to know the details.

Yes, it is 44 min more than Lahari - but not based on Lahari.

This Ayanamsa is based on Moola star (which forms the bases of the

mathemetical division of Rasi an Nakshatras). Or in other words it

fixes the " Starting point of Aries " 120 deg away from Moola star.

There was only this Ayanamsa from far ancient time, and Suryasidhanta

is also talking about this Ayanamsa only. Chitrapaksha and all other

ayanamsas are imaginative inventions of recent days. Proce and conce

you find out - It was a mathematical invention came out of the study

of ancient astronomy by Chandrahari.

of Surya sidhanta onwards) is not well enough to say 'time

tested' ?!! )

Just try and see. I have the feeling that Chandra hari ayanamsa

(better call it `True Ayanamsa') when used with 360 days Savana year

and Chitrapaksha ayanamsa used with 365.25 days Solar year gives

comparable Dasa periods and good results. But I am no authority -

just try yourself.

I have used JHora and I see that with 360 days savana year and

chandra hari ayanamsa (44 minutes more than Lahiri), the dasas move

ahead by 6 months. Is that correct?

 

My Details :

DOB: 28-Feb-1975

TOB: 9:18AM

Co-ordinates: 81E32, 16N32

 

As per Lahiri ayanamsa, I am in Ju / Ju dasa and as per chandrahari

I am still in Ra/Ma. Could one of you confirm if that is true OR is

there some miscalculation I have done.

let me know how is that you set the savana year, 360 days.

That could be where I might have made a mistake.

 

This is what I have done,

Preferences -> Related to calculations -> Life cycle for casting a

new chart (countries) -> What is the definition of a Year

 

It is here I selected savana year 360 days.

 

Then,

Preferences -> Related to calculations -> Ayanamsa -> Customer

(user) defined -> 44 min more than Lahiri

 

Have I done something wrong?

Dear RAma ji,

It is not the method to set Dasa langth to 360 day Savana year in

JHora. Just click on the Dasa Tab and on the right side 'option'

button you will see the Year lenghth written. Right click anyware in

that pane and choose, (from the right click menu) 'Defenition of year

in Dasas'->'Savana year (360 days)'.

To set the ayanamsa you have followed the right method.
