Dear members,

I am giving u a link to a site of a few rare books some r the first of its kind,

the author/translator who had donated all his works to Sivananda ashram so is

less known to the astrological community, but BV Raman ji has acknowledged some

of this work in the AM's. NNK has done these works in late 50's, subsequent

translators came in mid 80's, GK Sharma is the latest and also a good work.

if NNK had first sold the books in the market then declared the royalty to the

ashram may have helped both the works being spread and also some funds to the

ashram.

What the family said was even this releases were v expensive 10,000 copies had

to be donated free to all libraries accross India in 3 sets, this is the fate of

any publisher too. and all these are cyclestyled, if printed would have been

prohibitive for anyone with no commercial plans

UK Iyer is NNK's son who has been generous enough to release the same in the

e-wrold.

PL CLICK ON THE LINK at the bottom of the mail.

enjoy some real treasure troves.

below may be repetative as it was sent to some ppl privately.

the author late NNK was the 1st to do these works way back in late 50's, r

santhanam has met and discussed the same with UK Iyer in 1973 and RS took the

job during

83 onwards so what u said is common sense is what he has not applied but NNK has

already done, anyone could have improved upon it inst it, as later days same

dasa, kala, patra has also undergone a lot of changes say between 1958 to 1983

at least.

and RS works is what most astro s/w r using when u generate a report and

say

u will have horses, elephants for transport looks odd for any reader

such substitutions should have been done by the s/w providers at least.

it makes astrology looks RIP VAN WINKLE in such presentations

but please take a look at these there r many other good works

esp Missing links in Hindu astrology a

collection of 12 books

BPHS vol 2 has more detailed dasa, bukthi analysis

Kerala suthras, nakshatra and tithi phala

Brigu Sutras etc.
