Aynamsas the 2 u named

 

are most pouplar and some r close to either of them.

 

to make the Govt holidays same for all over India a standardisation was needed

so n c lahiri was given the job of fixing a functional one based on the overall

consenses or satisfaction of various Panchanga karthas as there was no unanimity

on it NCL did push his own instead and became a benchmark

 

between no standard and a standard it is far better.

 

else like Islamic calander we have each region declaring the festival at diff

times, days in India itself

 

B V RAMAN who has pouplarised Ramans ayanamsa by his worjing n it is belived to

be Revathi Paksha or Zita Piscum to which western astronomers, astrologers have

given credit to ancient rishies for fixing the precession of equinox a few

hundred of yrs before raman or his grand father were born

Dear friends,

 

I recently joined your group and delighted to be here.

 

My objective to join this group is to strengthen my very less knowledge of

astrology and contribute with every little intellectual resource I may have.I

also take this opportunity to bow before all those blessed people who have got

more drops of this ocean of knowledge than others like me who are desperately

seeking more and more of it. May God bless us all !

Here I would like to ask a few questions and get enlightened. Please be patient

as I am learning.

My first question (in form of this post) is

 

Which ayanamsha is better and why ?

- Lahiri's or Raman's

 

Kindly also share your opinion about K.P. and Faghan's values(ayanamsha) .
