Analysing Dosha , Curses and Yoga in a chart

Simple planetary placement or combinations do not makes a good yoga.

 

It must be supported by the following basic things at least;

 

(1) strength of participating planets

(2) strength of Rasi, navamsa and constellation lords of participating planets

(3) strength of sun for initiation of good yogas

(4)strength of moon for long temr sustence of these yogas

 

Similarly for doshas or curses or blemsishes,

 

(1)affliction should be within acceptable orb of influence (Indian traditional

astrologer accept maximum orb of 10 degree, whereas modern indian/western

astrologer accept it upto 5 degree for normally strong planet and maximum upto

10 degree orb of seriously weak planets)

 

(2) The exact combinations prescribed for the dosha or curses must be fulfilled.

Simple placement or association doesnot causes the blemishes, if not supported

by rasi, navamsa and stellar dispositors and relevant chara and naisargika

karaka also.

 

(3) The rasi, navamsa and starlord of the afflicted houses must be weak or

unable enough to protect, otherwise the dosha, curses or blemishes passes away

like a whiff of air without causing any visible effect

 

(4) In my humble opinion the astrologer must have sufficient basic knowledge so

as to correctly analyse and see the intentions as well as abilities of the

planets causing dosha, blemishes or curses. Without sufficient and proper

knowledge of the important divisional charts such as navamsa and shashtyams

chart basic interplanetary influences such as Argala, Ashtakvarga and Karaka

Yoga(which planet is acting for whom and why ?) simply saying that it is a bad

yoga/ dosha/ curses is only short-sightedness and is of no utility if we are

unable to measure its magnitude at least to some acceptable level of usefulness

and solution to the extant problems of life.
