Guest guest
Dear friends, There is no problem in taking lagna covering two houses. That is what essentially the concept of bhava and aspects in Sripati Paddhati followed. But please note that the final outcome should be decided on the basis of the ruler of the sign where the exact lagna falls in. In one of the issues of Astrological Magazine Mrs Gayatri Devi Vasudev through her illuminating editorial 'Rasi and Bhava not Rasi or Bhava' has solved major part of the issue. Please go through her editorial. You will surely benefit a lot. Additionally in the book 'catechisms of astrology' late illustrious Dr. BV Raman clearly tells : Planets in good bhava, friendly/own/exaltation rasi = good results Plaents in bad bhava, friendly/own/exaltation rasi = minimal bad results and so on. Just a simple example; My son born in the boarder of aries/taurus lagna. As per the doctor's recorded time in birth certificate lagna is taurus. But when he started growing on...learned to talk and walk...it was became quite clear that he is of aries lagna...from his dominating and leadership qualities...the way he walks in a brisk manner like a military personnel and also talks out his thoughts very very crisply and objectively. He still stammers while beginning a sentence. This is probably due to weak mercury as the 3rd lord of expression in the second house of speech. Venus is quite strong as far away from sun providing the protection from major speech related problems. But it is in the house of enemy. So the result should be read as...sun as the 5th lord placed in 2nd rasi an enemy sign in lagna bhava. Please note that in the astrology software if you are not using the circular chart format ( which is used only in part of Vanaras and West Bengal only) sun will be wrongly shown in the sign Aries. Please note that showing sun is sign aries is quite wrong. So there is no harm in showing houses or lagna in two rasi. But it must be shown in circular chart only for visual accuracy. Other charts such as north indian diamond chart format or the south indian suqre format or even the east indian solar format are not able to show bhava kundli / chart properly owing to their inherent deficiency. I have seen illustrious astrologer Shri MC Jain casting circular chart in all his writings and books. Dr Raman and Mrs Gayatri Devi Vasudev using them in proper perspective even without casting the circular charts. With regards and best wishes, Pt.
