Mercury is lord of 12th and placed in 6th house causing Vipareeta Raja Yoga. But our dear astrologer friend has perhaps forgotten to note the rasi sandhi placement of mercury. All planets in rasi sandhi in even sign as per sage Pararasa ( please refer Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra) are stated to be in Mritavastha ( in the state of death). The same thing is said by the authors of astological classics like Jataka Parijata and Sarvartha Chintamani. So without finding out the correct root astrological cause of a problem blaming 8th house Saturn is not good astrology. As per general canons of astrology Saturn has exchanged houses with 5th lord venus. So minor health problem or worry related to children is justified only if venus the 5th lord is basically weak in strength. Here we do not find any such weakness of venus also. Moreover constellation and navamsa lord of Saturn is moon the 10th lord well placed in rasi causing dharma karmadhipati yoga par excellence without having any basic flaw. Here Saturn a yoga karaka planet exchanging house with another yoga karaka planet venus and placed in the constellation and navamsa of yogakaraka 9th house placed moon. As per Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra Saturn placed in 8th house is always a blessing for long life and strength of personality to withstand rough weathers of life. As regards Raja Yoga 12th and 8th lords and houses behaves neutrally. However if the other house of the 8th lord is a yoga karaka house and the planet is placed in a trine this 8th house blemish completely vanishes. Do not get frightened by the wrong predictions of (a) bad health of your child and (b) bad health of your mother I can assure you that they are not going to happen unless transit Saturn conjunct the 8th cusp i.e. during the month of Septemeber-October 2009 for a short period. If you keep on wearing the Neelam..the weakness arising out of Saturn's transit will get minimized to a great extent except for 1 or 2 days seasonal problems ( virgo- intestine/stomach related).
