Guest guest
Dear Vinay ji, this is a great occassion and any platform must be utilised by every astrologer for theupliftment of the subject, when we have so many critics, skeptics on the subject and in the pettines or jealous or playful atitude must be best avoided either thank the organisers for allowing them to at least a invitee and a spectator than a object of ridicule as it reflects badly on the community of astrologers esp as u said KERALA the land of great astrologers till this day. Balan Nair is one such living person in chennai and his son Shankar Nair may be next time pl invite such people who can add value to the dias, subject a maternal uncle pased away on 1st so it made my other commitments small but they had a role also in my not being ablge to witness the historic meet. prashant --- On Tue, 3/3/09, vinayjhaa16 <vinayjhaa16 wrote: vinayjhaa16 <vinayjhaa16 Astrologers and Astro-haters !! Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 9:08 AM On 28 Feb- 1 Mar 2009, an international conference was organized by two leading astrological organizations at Science Council of University of Allahabad on World Peace, Economic Depression and Diseases. These three sessions were respectively presided by Pt Ramchandra Pandey (former HOD of Jyotisha at BHU), Vinay Jha (me), and Pt Ramnaresh Tripathi. In the first session, three persons from Kerala also participated : Sreenadh, Sunil Nair and an unnamed lady, all belonging to the group AIA (ancient Indian astrology). Sreenadh requested a chance at the podium, which was readily allowed to him ( I supported him ). But instead of speaking anything about the topic, he poked fun at the audience, calling 90% of participants as ignorants, and said that the muhurta of inauguration was inauspicious because Saturn was residing in 5th house (its horoscope was on the podium wall). He failed to see that lords of 5th and 11th houses were making mutual Parivartana Yoga, which made Saturn ineffective in 5th house and gave total control of 5th house to its lord Sun in 11th house. It proved that he was ignorant of fundamentals of Indian astrology, although he boasted of " breating astrology " . Although he was requested to attend all sessions, he left immediately after making his inglorious speech against the tolerant participants who did not retaliate against his abusive and fallacious statements. When the chairman asked him to either speak on the topic or end his speech, he started speaking on horary astrology, which was not a topic, and wasted our time by repeating bookish things, although only those persons were being allowed to speak there who had submitted research papers. Sreenadh brought no paper, although he knew the topics well in advance. Kerala is well known for glorious astrological tradition. But persons like Sreenadh are bringing disrepute to Kerala by means of their ignorant and abusive behaviour. -Vinay Jha.
Guest guest
Dear Vinay ji Yes, I agree to you completely. I am usually invited as speaker in many meetings. Once I recall an event on a very respectful dais at Chandigarh where I observe ego of astrologers spoiling the atmosphere of the event. A seminar is organized to present something valuable in field of the subject. the useless comments and egos of astrologers ruins it. Our Indian astrology is suffering from these attacks. Though we have the best tools and methods but we have not developed it as it should have been done. My heartiest wish is to create a platform where the knowledge could be shared and our ancient vedic astrology finds space to spread its wings. with respects , Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar wrote: > > Dear Vinay ji, > > this is a great occassion and any platform must be utilised by every astrologer for theupliftment of the subject, when we have so many critics, skeptics on the subject and in the pettines or jealous or playful atitude must be best avoided either thank the organisers for allowing them to at least a invitee and a spectator than a object of ridicule as it reflects badly on the community of astrologers esp as u said KERALA the land of great astrologers till this day. > > Balan Nair is one such living person in chennai and his son Shankar Nair may be next time pl invite such people who can add value to the dias, subject > > a maternal uncle pased away on 1st so it made my other commitments small but they had a role also in my not being ablge to witness the historic meet. > > prashant > > --- On Tue, 3/3/09, vinayjhaa16 <vinayjhaa16 wrote: > > vinayjhaa16 <vinayjhaa16 > Astrologers and Astro-haters !! > > Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 9:08 AM > > > > > > On 28 Feb- 1 Mar 2009, an international conference was organized > > by two leading astrological organizations at Science Council of > > University of Allahabad on World Peace, Economic Depression and > > Diseases.
