Guest guest
Dear All, Stotra/mantra japam is the most harmless means of acquiring merit, for effacing bad karma, and for Karyasiddhi. In the Bhagavad Gita Sri Krishna has referred to " Japa " yajna as the most exalted Yajna of all. All it requires is a concentrated mind, External purity (washing our face, hands and feet before Japa) and, an attitude of surrender to the God(dess). Many of the mantras require mantra-deeksha from a Guru. Stotras unlike mantras do not require strict guidelines to be followed, and could be chanted by one and all. In the course of my research I have come across several proven and tested remedies for specific problems faced by all of us. I am listing some of them below. Financial problems - A sure remedy is worshipping Mahalakshmi. Chanting Mahalakshmi Ashtakam and Kanakadhaara Stotram are prescribed. You could also include Vishnu Sahasranama stotra. Selected Verses from Saundarya Lahari also work extremely well. Health Issues - Chant Aditya Hridhayam and Vishnu Sahasranama stotram. For severe illnesses it's advised to chant Mahamrityumjaya Mantram. Career Issues - Chant Aditya Hridhayam, Vishnu Sahasranama stotram and/or Saundarya Lahari. Marital issues - Chant the mantra " Patnim Manoramam Dehi.... " from Argala Stotram of Durga Saptashati. Chant Saundarya Lahari. Mental Worries/Depression - Chant Saptasloki Durga, especially the verse " Sarvamangala mangalye... " as many number of times as possible. Chant Vishnu Sahasranama stotram. Self confidence - Chant Aditya Hridhayam, Hanuman Chalisa and/or Durga Dwatrimsanamavali (32 names Of Durga). Enmity/backbiting - Chant Durga Saptashati. Chant Saptasloki Durga. Insomnia - Chant the 62nd verse of Saundarya Lahari, chant the verse " Ya devi Sarvabhootheshu nidra Roopena samsthithaa namasthasyei namasthasyei namasthasyei namo namah " from Durga Saptashati. There could be many other Japa remedies but these are some of the harmless ones. If you have any specific problem not mentioned above, let me know and I will send you the appropriate Japa Remedy for the same. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Gayatri mantra with gaytri Kavacham is good for health.other mantras and japams based on planetary influences and the effects there on are suggested for observance. fundamentally and mantram and japam when performed gives a boost and confidence that enables problem tackling approach. But then some of the mantras and japams are to be performed some ritualistic manner as envisaged in our vedic conventions by invoking God/godesses.Where as gayatri Mantra when recited threee times a day shall difinetely help any individual in his time of hardships. This kind of healing through prayer, mantras and stotras is always desirable. vrkrishnan --- On Mon, 3/2/09, tamobhedi surya <tamobhedi wrote: tamobhedi surya <tamobhedi Re: General Remedies - Stotra Japam Monday, March 2, 2009, 4:34 AM Sir, Can Gayatri mantra also be recited for all of the below issues.
