Dear friend,

In Indian Tradition there are two sets of techniques employed for

naming a new born child.

(1) As per Avkahada chakra on the basis of moon sign or lagna

(2) On the basis of letters ruled by the most beneficially placed

and functional benefic planet

The first method is most popular and simple.

Whereas the second method is a little laborious but effective in our

own humble experience.

In my own family the name of my grandfather, mine as well as my two

younger brothers..name were given either on the basis of yogakaraka

planet or diectionally strong planets or on the basis of the

Atmakaraka planet who are placed in the constellation /rasi/navamsa

of yogakaraka houses.

A few years back the same was also confirmed during a conversation

with astrologer Bhaskar who was a member of this group ( I can not

say whether he is a member now). During discussion, he had asked me

one question whether nameing according to the second method

beneficial ? I had then replied that 'your name Bhaskar is ruled by

Saturn who is yogakaraka for you, so you will be famous by this

name. During these day I had also collected nearly 200 horoscopes of

famous people of western countries and astonishingly...in all of

the cases the first letter of the alphabets of their name ( for

example E for Einstien) were found strongly related to the effective

Yogakarka planets/houses in their horoscopes.

By the way applying the same principle the letter 'B' satisfies both

the conditions (1) and (2) stated above.

The rasi and navamsa dispositors of saturn and venus is jupiter

debilited in natal chart. However the debilition of Jupiter gets

cancelled by strong 4th house placement of Yogakaraka Saturn.

Although yogakaraka saturn will have its traces of natural

maleficence upon the 4th house matter i.e. health of the child and

initial slowness in picking up ...during the schooling period,

which is a normal thing for most of the newbies in the schools.

Not to be worried at all. Saturn being a first rate yogakaraka and

its navamsa lord jupiter going to bhava sandhi is a blessing for the

child. With his talent he would always be wise enough overcome the

problems of life as sun the friendly planet associated with jupiter,

also lord of the vidya kendra (4th house) is in a trine havind

directional strength providing good administrative and

organisational capabilities.

With regards and best wishes,

Mrutyunjay Tripathy,

Dear friend,

This is because the 2nd technique of naming is not that much easy

and known to people having average knowledge of jyotish (astrology).

If some people have not got access to that knowledge it is not their

fault. With God's blessing all the seekers of wisdom will get it.

Some are more fortunate to get it earlier than others. That is the

cause of difference.

Dear Mrutyunjay Tripathy Ji

Jaya Siyaa Raam

Your following mail suggests the same thing which numerologists have

been advocating for - name change. Of course their basis is different

from this one. So you are also in favor of using the chart to name a

child.

One question more in this regard - Do you think that changing the

name at a later age (maybe at the age of 30 or 40), according to

chart, can change the fate of that person?

With regards

Sushma

Dear friend,

You can use the numerologist's technique along with your birth

chart, if your name is hihgly unfavourable for you.

Sarvatobhadra Chakra an expert tool in astrology also used to see if

transit planets are favourable to your name.

A girl after her marriage when comes to her husbands home, in many

parts of India there is a tradition of changing her name...to be

given by her husband during Vandapana or Chaturthi Karma that is

performed in the day before the 4th night after marriage.

In India there is also tradition of changing name when one enters

into Banaprastha or Sannyasa Ashrama.

So trying name change as a moral booster is not bad at all in my

humble opinion.

In the book 'My Experience on Astrology' by Dr BV Raman, he tells

that he had changed his name from B B Raman to BV Raman as

suggested by one of his well wisher astro-mumerologist friend.

Sage Garga has named lord Krishna as so... on the basis of his birth

horoscope only. Strong 7th house indicating great charm or

attraction... meaning Krishna ( Aa karshayati iti = Krishna). As

per his moon sign the beginneing letter should have started from

alphabet E, U or B.

With best wishes and regards,

Mrutyunjay Tripathy
