Guest guest
Dear members There is an article in Times of India, Chennai that the mars has evolved with the leftovers of earth. What a modern scientific finding? Our ancestors have called Mars as " Bouman " meaning sun of bhoomi. His prayer starts as " Dharani Garba Samboodham " . Will the secularists acknowledge that our ancestors are much superior scientists? regards sankar
Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Mr.Sankar, Nice find!!Appreciate your report on the article on the origin of Mars. Well, our sages said a lot of things, which were negated by many scientists. But in due course, they are agreeing with what our sages say.At times they will consider it to be a meager co-incidence or fools talks & myth. During the oceanic research near west Gujrat, an old city was found under water. We know in Mahabharata, after death of Krishna, the city Dwarka was " gulped down " by the sea. Is it a co-incidence???or a myth??or a reality?? Many scientists say mantras are non-sense. Why students & professors of Harvard University are doing a regular practice of reciting " OM " for 1 minute? Problem with India is that we fail to see what is within our reach. The fire is within our reach, but we go to our neighbours' & ask for lighting our lamp. Thank you, . , " sankaranarayanan k.s " <shankypriyan wrote: > > Dear members > > There is an article in Times of India, Chennai that the mars has evolved with the leftovers of earth. > > What a modern scientific finding? Guest guest
dear friends an old mail of mine written three years ago is pasted below for information: ============== many people perceive mangal (also called angaraka, kuja, bhauma) as a fiery planet giving negative results in marriage to a native where mars is placed in certain houses in a horoscope. however, very few people realise that mars is a benevolent planet whose beneficial role is vital for any person to acquire lands and buildings. according to shivapurana, rudrasamhita, parvatikhand (trutiya khand) chapter 10, when sweat of lord shiva fell on earth, a boy was born who was raised by the earth. The child of lord shiva was grown by his mother earth's love and later he lived in kashi (also called varanasi) and did tapas to invoke the grace of lord shiva after which he was granted planetary status beyond venus. LORD SHIVA THEN BLESSED THAT THIS PLANET MARS WOULD BESTOW LANDS (BHOOMI), WHICH MEANS MARS IS THE GIVER OF LANDS AND BUILDINGS. it is interesting to note that as per the astrology classics written by the sages, the ruling lord of planet mars is kumaraswami (also called saravana, skanda, shanmuga, murugan, subrahmanya, kartikeya etc). to mollify planet mars, worshipping lord kartikeya (son of lord shiva) is recommended. since both are sons of lord shiva, all shiva devotees would naturally get benefic results of planet mars. ============== as various puranic references mention, planet mars is the son of bhoomi (earth) and is the bestower of lands and buildings. logically, the belief of mars having living sentient beings is also true which is recently getting more acceptance by the scientific community since mars has several similarities with earth. nasa recently released pictures of a glacier (frozen ice) from mars which means it has water which in turn means, it has life. ujjain is the only unique place on earth, in my knowledge, to have a temple of mars with its relic and may planet mars bless all with lands and buildings. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " " <gaurav.ghosh wrote: > > ||Jai Ramakrishna|| > Dear Mr.Sankar, > Nice find!!Appreciate your report on the article on the origin of Mars. > Well, our sages said a lot of things, which were negated by many > scientists. But in due course, they are agreeing with what our sages > say.At times they will consider it to be a meager co-incidence or > fools talks & myth. > During the oceanic research near west Gujrat, an old city was found > under water. Guest guest
Arjunji, I once googled the subject of Mars Temples and other than the obvious Roman ones (they seemed to simply love Mars for some reason!), there was a temple in South India as well from what I recall. Near other teertha places too. Of course any Hanumaan/Sankat Mochan/Vimochan Temple is the blessed abode of Mars, unless I am mistaken. The one in Varanasi I have very fond memories for ... Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Learned Members, Mars is not always bad. Else it wouldn't have been the " karak " (significator) of Land, immovable assets. Its connection with the 8th lord, 9th/4th lord also results in inheritance of Land assets from parents etc. As we know, Mars is the chief commander of planets--meaning protector. Many of us know, the positive results of Mars in 6th house--it gives protection from enemy & disease, victory in cases of litigation, etc. Again Mars is responsible for debts, accidents, bloodshed, & also our favorite *KUJA DOSHA*. Then comes the classification of its condition--exalted, debilitated, mooltrikona, own house, friendly house, neutral house, inimical house & combustion. Mars--in hindi is called " Mangal " (same in Bengali), but why is it creator of " Amangal " events??? Thank you, . , " Rohiniranjan " <rohini_ranjan wrote: > > Arjunji, > > I once googled the subject of Mars Temples and other than the obvious > Roman ones (they seemed to simply love Mars for some reason!), there > was a temple in South India as well from what I recall. Guest guest
Still enjoying the brief protection under bylaw #11 that we enjoy under the constitution of this forum, Gaurab ji -- in Bangla Mars is pronounced as Mongol (Genghis Khan comes to mind!) That perhaps 'sounds' more like in tune with what most jyotishis see mars as! Remember to read the bylaw #11. Thou shalt not FELL me as long as I can FEEL! That which rules the initiation and termination of Kal-Purusha, the generic horoscope of humankind cannot be evil or punitive but just a reminder that when we come into this world, we were crying and the thought of leaving this world does not cause many smiles as well for most of us! I will leave you with that thought to fill the gaps that lie between the first and the eighth. , " " <gaurav.ghosh wrote: > > ||Jai Ramakrishna|| > Dear Learned Members, > Mars is not always bad. Guest guest
I would have to disagree, Gaurav ji ;-) Emotions live in the sukhsthana of Mars And in bhagya sthana as well! What gives? How does one explain this anomaly? Before I learned about computers and reboots and cold resets and all those fancy IT terms, when at the end of my wits -- I looked at Kaal Purush! Not recommending that you do too, but just sharing! Guest guest
dear RRji there may be many temples but ujjain, according to puranas, is the birthplace of mars. there were some other descriptions of having best planetary vision from this place. yes, mars has his own fans in the roman as well as western and mars attacks is one of the good comedy stuff along the line of many mars based hollywood films made. the famous novel men are from mars and women are from venus also indicates the nature of mars. in certain sections of lalkitab, it is mentioned that mars is like fire and venus is like flower and a conjunction of mars and venus speaks on the love life of the native. mars is attributed to the menstural cycle in moon. there are many goods mars is doing to the humans indeed. having praised mars, i find mars in 8th house a serious consideration and personally do not treat mars in other 1,2,4,7,12 houses as that serious under the so called manglik dosha. there is another school of thought which profess saturn playing checkmate to mars. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " Rohiniranjan " <rohini_ranjan wrote: > > Arjunji, > > I once googled the subject of Mars Temples and other than the obvious > Roman ones (they seemed to simply love Mars for some reason!), there > was a temple in South India as well from what I recall. Guest guest
Dear Arjunji -- I have nothing against Ujjain or mars for that matter ;-) The most brilliant person that I have ever had the privilege of knowing very personally in this lifetime was a graduate of Vikram University (MY MY! What a Martian name for a university, one would say! Won't you?). Kavivar Dr. Shivmangal Suman was a VC of that University in its hay day many decades ago! And the two brothers: Pt. Suryanarain Shastri (Phalit) and his lesser known brother (Ganit) too hailed from the very same Ujjain! And the presence of Lord Mahakaal there! If I were to ever embark on a pilgrimage, it would have to be Ujjain - - not just for the SITES but because a very dear brother has promised me to take me to the revered Mahakaal temple there! Sorry for injecting too much personal content but what gives SUKH must not be denied... Right? Guest guest
MEMBERS PL SUBSTITUTE angaraka (mangal/Kuja) for corrupt Angaraha or Angaraga/m or whatever u may read. Similarly Makha star is called Maham, Magam, etc in TN they r not sure where to use K , g/H in many cases. prashant Respected Guruji's The refere temple of mars in tamilnadu is actually not for mars. It is called vaidheeswaran temple where the lord siva with parvathi ( her name here is thaiyal nayaKi). People pray here for the cure of diesease. Angaraha was cured of his curse while worshipping lord vaidheeswara here. Hence the people who worship vaidheeswara are relieved of angaraha dosha. There is a separate shirine in this temple for angaraha. In fact all the 9 nagraha temples are siva temple where each graha is cured of ITS curse and have a separate shirine and siva is worshiped for the rectification of that graha dosha. all are mentioned in the scared tamol thevaram text and hence are of origin of before 6th century. panams sankar --- On Fri, 1/30/09, Rohiniranjan <rohini_ranjan wrote: > Rohiniranjan <rohini_ranjan > Re: origin of Mars > > Friday, January 30, 2009, 11:14 AM > Dear Arjunji -- > > I have nothing against Ujjain or mars for that matter ;-) > > The most brilliant person that I have ever had the > privilege of > knowing very personally in this lifetime was a graduate of > Vikram > University (MY MY! Guest guest
dear RRji your reminisences are worth remembering about the usage of martian names. while i am equally respectable to umpteen number of mars temples if any, anywhere in the world, was giving specific mention only to ujjain because it is written in various puranas that ujjain is the birthplace of mars as per hindu mythology. ujjain also finds mention elsewhere in the scriptures about its reverence as earlier as in kruta or satya yuga itself. while referring to these things in the puranas, it is also written by our ancient sages that like solar system, there are other systems too in the galaxy and that there is life in various planets elsewhere too. when steven spielberg or some hollywood director creates these, they become biggest american hits. similarly the mythological series of books and movies from britain too are now a hit. slowly the entire world started patronizing mythology and india has the best of mythology in the world. on earth having flame and fire gulfing volcano on one side and snowclad icy mountains on the other and sometimes we find a volcano erupting in an icy mountain. similarly there are living beings on mars too and it is only a matter of time before it is made known to the world, thanks to nasa. in the first visit of moon by american astronauts, they took several pictures which are now unclassified which reveal proof of moon being visited by various others beforehand. there is a strong hearsay news in usa for long that they even captured an alien live and are doing researches in some underground secret location somewhere in nevada. coming spring, some scientists are cretaing an artifical sun through nuclear fission. seems like jupiter is shining more brightly helping the humans to create more luminaries. great are the miracles of god and so are the planets and the various creatures dwelling on them including humans. with best wihses and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " Rohiniranjan " <rohini_ranjan wrote: > > Dear Arjunji -- > > I have nothing against Ujjain or mars for that matter ;-) > > The most brilliant person that I have ever had the privilege of > knowing very personally in this lifetime was a graduate of Vikram > University (MY MY! Guest guest
Dear Arjun ji, " memories " are all we shall ever have and take with us across the divide that separates linear Time from Timelessness! I fondly remember an earlier message from you, perhaps on this very forum, where you reminded all of us forum members that what we call as Mythology was perhaps REAL once! What is REAL today may indeed become Mythology in some future times...! Thanks for taking the time to write on this very topic and the very planet that is so dear to my heart and soul! Guest guest
Dear Sankarnrayanan Garu! Thanks for setting us all straight about the details of the tradition :-) Where I come from, and was raised in this lifetime nearly 60 years ago, all one needed to do was place a largish rock and cover it with vermillion (Sindur - a toxic oxide of mercury or quick-silver as it has been known to chemists or perhaps alchemists! For some reason, also known to be associated with sadhwa-hood or mangalya for women traditionally way back when) and that rock became a sacred symbol of Lord Hanumaan and even government regulators and by-law police dared not touch those! It became quite the scam in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and perhaps other regions in India back then. I have no access to police records so cannot really provide evidence or factual data as to how many such SCAMS were hatched or prevailed. As far as I am personally concerned, the presence of God to my reckoning has always reflected in the Divine Reflection of Almighty through LIFE and LIFE-Forms! Be it a frog, a human, a mineral deposit like a rock which shelters millions of living forms, microscopic upwards, or a stray kitten who has the POWER to teach humans who had lost their sense of what is important and that that can only be one thing: LOVE and its product: CARING! Best Regards, Rohiniranjan , " sankaranarayanan k.s " <shankypriyan wrote: > > Respected sir, > > Mangal dosenot have a separate temple there but has a separate shirine inside the siva temple. > > The siva temple is populaly known as mangal sthal. > > All the 9 nagraha temples on the banks of cauvery are siva temple with a separate shirine for the particular planet.
