I understand that navamsa is derived from Rasi. So, I would like to know if this scenario will arise? What should we deduce from that? 2) Lets assume that there is no KSY in a Rasi chart? Can it occur in any other varga (dasamsa, navamsa, etc) ? In that case does it has any siginficance related to that particular varga? 3) " If however a planet is placed in the same sign as rahu, then that planet 'chokes' the demon rahu and the remaining planets are spared. " Will this be true for both the below mentioned condtions: a) Assuming Rahu and Mars in same sign, Rahu in 6 degrees and Mars in 2 degrees.All other planets withing rahu-ketu axis. Since Rahu moves backwards, I am assuming that Mars is also within Rahu-Ketu axis. b) Rahu in 2 degrees and Mars in 6 degrees. In this case I assume that Mars is outsiderahu-ketu axis. Varga charts are of relative importance for various other purposes.You are right all varga charts are mad eout of main lagna chart. Guest guest Posted January 13, 2009 Report Share Posted January 13, 2009 Dada, I would be a bit wary of viewing KSY in finer varga charts, particularly since in several vargas rahu and ketu lose their polar- opposite placement and end up being in the same varga rashi. Also, as rahu moves back although it may be making contact with a planet in navamsha varga, in reality (rashi) it may be very far away, since navamsha deals with planetary relationships a bit differently because points 40 degree apart in rashi are conjoined in navamsha. Please allow me to express my wariness, unless there are good examples which would convince me otherwise. I was trying to create a word-picture for Jaya so that the concept of KSY can be internalized and understood readily. I often do that because I am a very visual person. The image of 'choking' should not be taken too literally since I do not think rahu actually is eating any of the planets or choking! It can be visualized as making contact and the general understanding is that planets in the same sign as rahu make KSY ineffective or weaker. So if jyotish were an experiment in physics then yes mars ahead of rahu would not qualify for conditions of KSY to be met. That stated, I would like you to consider something else. In the charts (not just KSY charts) that you examine from now on, please note the planets that are in the path of rahu. Note their rulership, chara karakattwa and other attributes. Then compare the actual experiences and traits of the nativity and see if there is a correlation or something special (not necessarily only good or bad) about those planets that would be contacted by rahu. These yogas in Vargas also have a meaning but the results will only be visible in aspect of life which the Varga represents. So the answer is 'yes' it has significance but the proper understanding must be there. Kalasarpa and Kalamrta yogas are formed when planets are yuti nodes also - degrees dont play the role here - but in those cases the yoga is broken. Malefic shows inauspicious event as the nimitta for the breakage, opposite for benefics. And it happens usually in the natural age of the planet. I was trying to create a word-picture for Jaya so that the concept of KSY can be internalized and understood readily.. I often do that because I am a very visual person. The image of 'choking' should not be taken too literally since I do not think rahu actually is eating any of the planets or choking! It can be visualized as making contact and the general understanding is that planets in the same sign as rahu make KSY ineffective or weaker. So if jyotish were an experiment in physics then yes mars ahead of rahu would not qualify for conditions of KSY to be met. That stated, I would like you to consider something else. In the charts (not just KSY charts) that you examine from now on, please note the planets that are in the path of rahu. Note their rulership, chara karakattwa and other attributes. Then compare the actual experiences and traits of the nativity and see if there is a correlation or something special (not necessarily only good or bad) about those planets that would be contacted by rahu. So the answer is 'yes' it has significance but the proper understanding must be there. Kalasarpa and Kalamrta yogas are formed when planets are yuti nodes also - degrees dont play the role here - but in those cases the yoga is broken. Malefic shows inauspicious event as the nimitta for the breakage, opposite for benefics. And it happens usually in the natural age of the planet.
