Dear Ron,

It will not be correct to say that there is dual lordship of the 6th house

by Venus and Mercury, though major part of the 6th house is occupied by Gemini the lord of the 6th will be Venus only; because the 6th cusp falls in Taurus. In all systems of astrology, every house has only one lord.

Although Mars is posited in the 6th house ruled by Venus, he will not come under influence of Venus. Since he occupies Gemini sign and Rahu star, he will come under influence of Mercury and Rahu. However, Mars, being in the 6th, will influence the affairs of the 6th house and not that of the 7th.

3. The Dispositor means, the lord of the sign occupied by a planet. Hence the

Dispositor of Mars will be Mercury, in this case, and Mars will be under the

influence of Mercury. The term “Dispositor” is commonly used with reference

to Rasi Chart and not with reference to Bhava (or Cusp) Chart.

Good Luck.

Yours,

Hasmukhrai J Mehta.

In the past I have only worked with Whole Signs for houses. As abeginner in KP could someone please inform me which planet isconsidered Lord of a House. As an example say we have 6thhouse Placidus Cusp at 19 Taurus and 7th at 22 Gemini and Marsis at 9 Gemini. 1. Would it be correct to say that there is dual Lordship of the 6th house By Venus and Mercury?2 Would Mars come under the influence of Venus as well as Mercury?3. Are both planets (or which one) is considered the Dispositor of Mars?I do know the importance attached to the constellation Lord andsub, but this question is simply related to house Lordship.ThanksRon Gaunt
