Guest guest
Dear Dasgupta JI and astroiniket Ji Jaya Siyaa Raam I read your various views about Mantra and their Jaap. I am still confused about. Why? Because when I read Puraan, Bhaagvat, etc books and read about various Mantra and their number of Jaap, I get attracted to to those Mantras and their number of Jaap, such as 10,000 or 100,000 etc to get their results. But when I read these mails in Groups I get disappointed to read that " we cannot take any Mantra like this from any book and start dong Jaap of it, because it will not work. " Then what is the use of those Mantra given in those religious authentic books to recite? For example Mahaa Mrityunajaya Mantra OR Mritunjaya Stotra by Maarkandeya - Can all do its Jaap and recite the Stotra? There are many Mantras (there are 3-4 chapers on Mantra in Naarad Puraan; there are many Stotras given in several Puraan with recommendation to recite them daily, like Dasharath Stotra for Shani) thus given in various Puraan. So my question is this, can we tke any Mantra or Stotra according to our need (or the results they mention there) and start doing Jaap? If no, then why not? And if yes, then what is the proper method to adopt them? I will be waiting for your views in this regard. Thanks With regards Sushma

Guest guest
Dear Dasgupta Ji Jaya Siyaa Raam Yeah, I did not see your article on Mantra, that is why I wrote that mail to you. I am sorry. When I read your mail on Mantra, which is excellently written, I came to know that I have read this information in Puraan also. Still I have a question - Are most Pandit or astrologers well versed in this kind of evaluation of Mantra for a specific client? Do they really take such pain to prescribe a Mantra to their client? If this is true, then it means I can ask any astrologer to suggest me any appropriate for me. I don't have any Guru, nor I am hopeful to find any Guru in near future, since I live in USA. But of course, I have access to many astrologers like yourself in astrology Groups. In your article I found a couple of favorable points --- (1) if Om is added at the beginning and at the end (both combined), all Dosh of the Mantra is removed. So any unsuitable Mantra also can be made suitable by this process. Of course the number of the words and letters in the Mantra will thus get changed and care should be taken for that. (2) Some texts further add that any Mantra received from a female guru is exempted from such selections. (3)For Utkeelan - by constant repetitions and dedication – all such Dosh are removed and the Mantra starts working. In addition, the following two methods can be used for giving life and increasing efficacy of a Mantra. 1. Praan Yog (giving life): If " Hreem " is added at the start and end of any Mantra and recited seven times, the Mantra gets life. 2. Deepan (increasing efficacy): If " Om " is added at the start and end of any Mantra and recited seven times, the Mantra gets lighted. I think in these two processes, the second process is easier and safer. But do these Mantra recited after seven times become all right and give their fresults? Thanks for your article, it is really enlightening. With regards Sushma , " jk.dasgupta " <jk.dasgupta wrote: > > I am afraid that you have not seen my mail on mantras, today morning in this > list. Guest guest
See my answer below in capital, Regards Jk On Behalf Of bhagvatjee Tuesday, January 06, 2009 6:55 PM Re: Mantra and their japa Dear Dasgupta Ji Jaya Siyaa Raam Yeah, I did not see your article on Mantra, that is why I wrote that mail to you. Still I have a question - Are most Pandit or astrologers well versed in this kind of evaluation of Mantra for a specific client? Do they really take such pain to prescribe a Mantra to their client? IT DEPENDS ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ASTROLOGER. WE IN OUR PARAMPARA DO. OF COURSE IT ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH THE PERSON HAS GOT INTEREST AND UNDERSTANDING IN MANTRA SHASTRA. LOOK AT THE ATMAKARAKA POSITION IN NAVAMSA OF A PERSON'S CHART . IF THERE IS ONE MALEFIC IN TRINE HE IS APT IN MANTRA SHASTRA. IF 2 - THEN MANTRA AND YANTRA AND IF 3 OR MORE - MANTRA TANTRA AND YANTRA, THE PERSON HAS CAPABILITY TO BECOME APT IN ALL. If this is true, then it means I can ask any astrologer to suggest me any appropriate for me. I don't have any Guru, nor I am hopeful to find any Guru in near future, since I live in USA. But of course, I have access to many astrologers like yourself in astrology Groups. I, IN INDIA ASLO DO NOT HOPE FOR A REALISED DIKSHA GURU. BUT IT IS TOLD THAT WE ARE NOT TO RUN AFTER GURU. WHEN TIME COMES - GURU WILL COME TO US. AND IT HAS HAPPENED WITH MY FATHER. HE WAS VERY LUCKY TO GET A SIDDHA POWERFULL GURU In your article I found a couple of favorable points --- (1) if Om is added at the beginning and at the end (both combined), all Dosh of the Mantra is removed. So any unsuitable Mantra also can be made suitable by this process. Of course the number of the words and letters in the Mantra will thus get changed and care should be taken for that. THESE METHODS I LEARNED FROM MY FATHER'S GURU FIRST, WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL. THEN I SAW THAT DR. SRIMALI ALSO HAS GIVEN THE SAME METHODS IN HIS BOOK `MANTRA RAHASYA' Thanks for your article, it is really enlightening. Guest guest
Dear Dasgupta Ji Jaya Siyaa Raam Thanks a lot for such a detailed answer of my querries. Your answer shows that I can never get a suitable Mantra for my upliftment. But please keep me in mind, if I can get even some general Mantras or Stotras for my daily worship from some learned person, I shall be obliged. Thanks With regards Sushma , " jk.dasgupta " <jk.dasgupta wrote: > > See my answer below in capital, > > Regards > > Jk > > > > On Behalf Of bhagvatjee > Tuesday, January 06, 2009 6:55 PM > > Re: Mantra and their japa > > > Dear Dasgupta Ji > Jaya Siyaa Raam > Yeah, I did not see your article on Mantra, that is why I wrote that > mail to you.
