Guest guest
It would depend on the planet that is indicating such a troublesome experience. Psychologically, at least in children, often when they are sensing tension in the wakeful hours and have a vivid imagination (moon must be looked at) some of the 'information' gets absorbed and not processed by the awake-consciousness and then gets processed during sleep (which is when the memories of the daytime are processed and rearranged and inventoried and stored. This is why sleep deprivation affects recent memory first -- due to the back-log so created). There are a million and few other reasons and explanations for nightmares (organic to psychological). Most individuals outgrow these particularly if experienced during childhood. Parents have a very important role to play (assuming that a child is experiencing nightmares) in providing real stability. Children often are very sensitive and pick on things that adults think they have 'managed' appropriately. Sorry for the general response as not too many specifics were provided. Guest guest
Dear RRji, Yes as a child we all have had dreams but we outgrow them.We outgrow them because the reassurance of the parents is always around.Atleast in my case it was.My parents really love me a lot. Dreams have never been so traumatic since the past few weeks.Enough to cause me upset and the whole family too. I have two small children who also get affected seeing their mom upset. I have my sadde satthi going on as am a Leo Lagna.I say the Mahamritunjaya mantra everyday, keep monday and wednesday fasts ,donate whatever and whenever possible...and most of all I have faith. Maybe I dont know how the ways of the world/mind functions...and honestly I dont want to know the same. But I do trust that the one who knows how to give the dreams ...knows how to heal. Dreams might be portals but I am a simple housewife and mother who cannot afford such nightmares at this juncture in life...I hope you understand. Guest guest
Dear Ariam, Manas the mind generally associated with MOON gives the dreams or perhaps holds those for nativities to experience. I am surprised by your last para somewhat derogatory :-( My simple mother who was named Usha (Dawn?) was a very simple woman born in what we know today as Bangladesh or as I knew = East Bengal! Without HER side and her mitochondrial genes that I was blessed to be born with == what I have experienced in this Jyotish Experience would have not happened! MA was very intuitive! If SHE were not, the family I was raised in would not have had the only elder brother remaining today that I do have! She came from a lineage of Homeopaths/Heilquinsts and while I pooh- poohed it all my life even when Dadu visited me ONCE -- I see enough DRAMA around that discipline to want to try! In fact I have already though not yet convinced ;-) hormesis not withstanding!! Guest guest
Dear RRji, Never ever in my thoughts or words I have ever meant anything negative or derogatory for you. My apologies if you felt such...it was never the intent. You are lucky to have a mother like that. I have been blessed to have such men in my life- Father, brother and most of all my husband. So when I get upset they get upset. Maybe I need to rephrase-Is there any remedy or bad dreams.I wonder it never affected me earlier..now it affects.I dont like that. Nevertheless, maybe as a commoner I ask an astrologer...is there no remedy? Guest guest
That was an interesting read. Simply its late and I wanted to get this out quickly. GAJENDRAS PRAYERS ~ For relief of nightmares to relief of the effects of Kali-yuga, reading Gajendra prayers regularly can remove blocks from spiritual life. http://www.geocities.com/priitaa/gajendras_prayers.htm Namaste, Priitaa , " ariamsoul " <ariamsoul wrote: > > Dear RRji, > Yes as a child we all have had dreams but we outgrow them.We outgrow > them because the reassurance of the parents is always around.Atleast > in my case it was.My parents really love me a lot. > > Dreams have never been so traumatic since the past few weeks.Enough > to cause me upset and the whole family too. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Hareshji, Thank you for the link. I was asking for a remedy to stop dreams and have a peaceful night. Because the dreams actually make everyday functioning debilitated. Mere words on a forum board cannot even come close to how dificult it is to sustain a day. Guest guest
Dear Ariam Their is no way one can stop dreams coming in our sleep. Even their is no remedy for it. What u need to do is to try something which will reduce it. One way is to meditate on a Guru mantra. For Guru mantra u need to take shelter of any spiritual master with whom u r comfartable. Other ways are to pray to God in whichever diety u hv faith & then go to sleep.  GOD BLESS YOU WITH WARM REGARDS HARESH(HARRY)NATHANI VEDIC ASTOLOGER VAASTU CONSULTANT (MUMBAI,INDIA) http://groups. / group/Jyotish_ Remedies/ database ________________________________ ariamsoul <ariamsoul Tuesday, 30 December, 2008 2:52:39 PM Re: Bad Dreams Dear Mr. Hareshji, Thank you for the link. Guest guest
I did not mean to imply that you were derogatory towards me, but at yourself and 'housewives' in general. That is why I gave the example of my mother who was a housewife. I am certain that there must be as many possible treatments as there are healing disciplines, but I have heard that homeopathy has often helped those having bad dreams and nightmares. Please try if you wish. RR , " ariamsoul " <ariamsoul wrote: > > Dear RRji, > > Never ever in my thoughts or words I have ever meant anything > negative or derogatory for you. Guest guest
Oh, dreams can't be stopped. No. That wouldn't even be healthy. Probably you just are thinking its a good idea cuz of either bad ones or sleeping problems, etc. I really can't speculate, all I can say is that I agree with Haresh, there is no way one can stop dreams coming. But you can raise your consciousness and have better sleep that way, because what we feel, think, experience throghout our day, and within our thoughts about that (too much stress, for example) it often manifests in the dream state. So the best solution is to change our thinking, chant prayers, mantras (Gajencra prayers & Hare Krishna especially), read shastra, and feel good about it. Then we may get more of the same at night in sleep. ~ Priitaa , " Haresh \(Harry\) Nathani " <haresh1405@ ...> wrote: > > Dear Ariam > > Their is no way one can stop dreams coming in our sleep. Guest guest
Oh my, I just read other posts and didn't realize all that was a concern. So I just want to say I do not mean to sound like a know-it-all, and I can not speculate on anyones life or what they need. I was simply posting my link to help, with what I know on the topic in general, and hope I did not offend anyone. If I did, my apologies. ~ Priitaa dd , " Prtha (Priitaa) devi dasi " <Prtha_devi_dasi wrote: > > Oh, dreams can't be stopped. Guest guest
Oh, but I never said it was simple. I said it was possible. First comes desire. The modes of material nature are very strong, no doubt about that. Everyone is struggling, no doubt about that either. Simply, we must not give up.
