Guest guest
Dear Krishna ji, nice to see ur illuminating thoughts again On Rajeswari raman's case isn't it sad that after raman's demise her life is become so miserable as bad as the Astrological magazine. B V RAMAN had ebough foresight in at least saving ICAS in time and put justice kapoor in the helm, knowing what it wud if he did not hasten it, but as far as his family is concerned he never did anything to prevent its ruin. allowing it to endure the karmic currents and reach a shore so dictated. Raman left no will, his sons esp Niranjan Bbu threw rajeswari raman out of the family home, when gayithri devi gave her shelter she was unseated from the magazine and it ran a lack lusture 4 month life and went into coma or death god knows. now she too is left uncared for with no resources and work I remember ina AGM of ICAS 3 yrs ago when justice kapoor wanted to quit the job after his only daughter and son in law died in a accident in the grief stricken state. had no enthusiasm to continue. and wanted Gayathri devi to take over/ but gayathri devi was [also aware of her fathers vision of their future] and said her father had witha vision, purpouse given him the role and it had to prevail as he was the best suited and hand picked when we see their future now it stands vindicated Niranjan babu wanted all ICAS members to to AM and he be made ICAS president, both were turned down as these r not inherited but earned distinctions. We only hope such a great lineage will come to a good shore soon. though we know what can come our way we have to wait its course, suffer its might or its pleaseures some members have been asking me for updates on raman's magazine, and want to do something to revive it, we must all put our hands and heads together and let it reach back its glory a great magazine and a sad end to it is uncecoming. " question, here is what I would do: a) Collect the horoscopes of a few dozens of astrologers after defining what the parameters for someone being called an astrologer are*. b) (a) being the 'easy' step in the process, trust me, I would next examine those from the point of what I have decided to consider as the definition of an astrologer for this hypothetical study*. The process is very simple, if carried out 'simply' without a lot of emotions, anger and agendas getting in the way! If it is a sincere and serious question to begin with!! Rohiniranjan * This is where we run into the problem! What constitutes an 'astrologer' ? Is it someone who just knows the lingo or is it someone who has studied the discipline for a few years or decades and has served the 'internship' as they say! Meaning: writing about astrology, giving readings, clearing up doubts, and simply stated treating it as a saadhanaa... Astrology is NOT a perfect solution for knowing the mysteries of the Universe, as it is falsely touted at times. Astrologers do not necessarily limit themselves to pure astro-logic when they utilize it. Many if not most and certainly not ALL astrologers utilize their spiritual strength and practice when helping out an individual through readings and advice. There is nothing wrong with that, indeed, when someone comes to us for help, we must bring forth all the abilities and all of our soul into helping such an individual! That is not an expectation from us, it is a REQUIREMENT! I still remember the simple and transparent words of one of the greatest astrologers that we have been privileged to witness, read about and words from -- which have educated, helped, even transformed many of the astrologers around, " ...I take the horoscope when I go to bed to sleep and as I look at it, I do japams as I begin to understand and incorporate the chart ... " [PARAPHRASED] . When I read that, many many years ago, suddenly I realized that all this fighting and tug-of-war as to whether astrology is a science or whatever simply vanished! ASTROLOGY IS A SERVICE AND THOSE WHO ARE BLESSED THROUGH THEIR PAST GOOD ACTIONS AND LIFETIMES OF STUDY AND HARD WORK MUST NOT GET DISTRACTED! Guest guest
Sir, This is where inquisitive Astrologers and those aspiring for name and fame have to remeber that nothing remains as permanent.Ramans family is also like any other family having claims and disclaims. Several writers through AM for 3-4 decades have brought out very very interesting and technical issues and soved them successfully.Such Magazines /journals are very essentilas for the field to develop and give direction.Astrologers aspiring to become famous need to cultivate and adopt to understand various technicalities by reading old issues of AM. Justice Kapoor,as President with set backs in his personal life has taken up the challenges ahead. It takes time to sort out issues and people to come around and continue with the extraordinary tradition, culture and eagerness of this family to bring out and establish importance of Modern Astrology. The father has done his job.The tribe and the progeny has to rever and continue with the great contributions. Good idea for the Astrologers to ponder and make efforts to revive Astrological Magazine for the great imprint it made on the profession It is appropriate that we may intiate a collective effort and urge the President, ICAS not to disappoint the disciples of Astrology.. we wish and pray that AM continues to be published and able to solve the prevailing legalities. That way justice Kapoor is most suited for the task.what ever little contribution we can make we should not desist. vrkrishnan --- On Mon, 7/7/08, Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar wrote: Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar Re: Re: Sir can I become a Famous Astrologer? 7/7 p2 Monday, July 7, 2008, 11:13 AM Dear Krishna ji, nice to see ur illuminating thoughts again On Rajeswari raman's case isn't it sad that after raman's demise her life is become so miserable as bad as the Astrological magazine.
