Guest guest
Dear RRji, good to see u back again and u have raised a very good topic and the answer lies from our rich puranas, when the Bhoodevi is burdended beyond its endurance it is only some churning that is done to bring some balance by reducing the numbers through some epedemics, natural disasters, wars, strife, famine etc and Sani in Simha surely is a best bet for it, we must expect its tenure there to bring in some population reduction well Idi amin did practice this in his jails isnt it the fittest survived from what I had read he used to feed one member and allow the rest to decide who gets it each one tried by force to get it and in the process killed his fellow inmates a sad way nature works -by bringing back our animal instincts to the fore-survival will dictate the course of future generations, this has become the state in the group wars also isnt it, though there is nothing like a share in the PIE some do feel so. in our early days most of us used toexchange ideas freely even if we differed on it, but later it was being treated as trespassing on somones existance, which is not theforums objectives anyway. misconcived notions from survival instincts has also lead to some base material flows is also a pointer of times to come when it comes to food, water, air in the world the powerful will grab all they want to hoard them, but how long? we must deal with global warming reducing pouplation in poor countries, regions by good planing improving educatiom health care by individual efforts thru NGO's and other charities-take some time off our mechanical lives and help nature too No Govts will do anything in any part of the world as they have no time for non personal issues Best wishes Rohiniranjan <rohini_ranjan Sunday, April 27, 2008 4:12:25 PM Global Food shortage iminent (Really?) The TV and Radio has been full of this recent worldwide (GLOBAL) scare that there is going to be worldwide food shortage (famine?) in the next decade or two. With mounting energy costs, the concern has been primarily arising due to what reporters insist is due to the changing of food habits worldwide. Heavily populated nations such as India and China are beginning to embrace meat and meat products in larger numbers and this has increased the worldwide demand on cattle farming (most of which would be of little use in India because it shuns beef -- I hope?) and the cattle need certain grains which will go to them rather than humans and so the plot thickens! What is the take of this august group on this new wrinkle? Should we be worried about this and begin to stock up on grains and other food staples as seems to have been occurring in North America (I wonder who is doing the stocking up?) or should we be focusing more on global warming or should we be just going around -- business as usual? Whatever that means to the forum memebers individually! Prem, Prakash, Prashanti ... RR ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
dear members, On the above subject astrologically saturn was in simha and mars in kataka exactly 30yrs back ie 1978. but yet we were not experiencing such food shortages at that time ie globally, maybe third world countries would have encountered shortages, but if u take india i still remember sugar was sold at Rs.2.50p per kg in the open market. I can say that after emergency Janta govt ruled the country for 3yrs approx, when all most all the commodities were within the reach of the common man. so how can we attribute the present situation to placement of saturn and mars. good wishes, k.gopu ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
