Dear all,

Does anybody know any book which tells all the calculations (for

eg tithi calculation, yoga formation as per panchaang, etc.)

sgId=49333/stime=1208190473/nc1=4507179/nc2=3848640/nc3=3848581>

related to Panchaang?

I have vishwa vijay panchaang but am working hard to understand how

tithi is calulated. I know it is (Longitude of moon - Longitude of sun)

/12 but while doing it I am getting wrong tithi.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Anshul

Just now, at 22 hours 27 minutes on Tuesday the 15th April, 2008,

The Moon is at 4:08:10:49 while the Sun is at 00:02:07:13

The difference is 4-06-03-36 = 126.06°

126.06° ÷ 12 = 10.5. It means that at the moment, 10 tithis after

amavasya have been completed and 11th (Ekadashi) is running.

Most of the Panchangas in India give the tithi prevalent at the time

of Sunrise and generally, changes before next sunrise are not

taken into consideration, even if the tithi has to change within one

hour after sunrise.
