Hello Ram,

Mother chart is Rashi chart or Lagna chart or Lagna kundli, thats

is the basic principle. You drill down to other chart w.r.t the native

query in order to ascertain planetory strength/combination etc. in Rashi

and other charts.

In Rashi chart (D1 chart), each house is of 30 degrees or more

specifically each zodiac is 30 degrees and each 30 degrees has 9 charans

with each charan has 3 degree 20 mins.

Navamsha (D9 chart), as the name specifies Nava + Amsha, 9th amsha of

Rashi. Hope it clears.

Mars is in 10th house means in D1 unless and until specified. General

prediction would be authoritative carrier however highly dependant on

other factors.

Regards,

Anshul

Question regarding Rashi and Navamsha.

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good. I'm trying understand both Rashi chart

and Navamsha chart. My question here is when you say Mars is in 10th

house, which chart do we look at ? Is that Rashi or Navamsha? What is

the basic difference between these 2 charts?

Thanks

Ram

Hi Anshul,

Could you explain with some example.

Lets assume D1 chart lagna is Libra and has all the planets in first house

except ketu that will be in 7th house. So what will be the D9 chart for the

same.

Regards

Sandeep
