Guest guest
Namaste Hari ji,, How about wearing Rudraksh with just LOVE and DEVOTION and having NO expectations.. Rudraksha comes from 2 words.. Rudra signifying Lord Shiva.. and aksha meaning tears. These are tears of compassion of God.. Just wearing the rudraksh you have all God/Goddesses' compassionate feelings with you. Is there anything more in life to ask for? Is there any moment in your life you that you want to be without it? I wear my rudrash mala all the time and I would not want to be without it ever.. Guest guest
Dear Hari, Though addressed to Shri Panditji, I express my opinions too. // 1.Rudraksha should not be worn during sexual intimacy. During intimate moments the Rudraksha beads should be taken out.// Right. // 2.Rudraksha should not be worn when visiting cremation grounds or a cemetery or a funeral. // Wrong, because wearing Rudraksha would ensure protection from bad spirits acquiring possession, in the cremation grounds. // 3.Rudraksha should not be worn during menstrual cycle period.// Wrong because, women normally do not wear Rudraksha, and even if they do, one would never know when the periods or the blood flow would start, and by the time it starts, the rudrakhsa would already have been on the body, and removing it eventually, would make no sense. //4.Rudraksha should not be worn as a ring in the fingers.// No strict rule as such. // 5.Rudraksha should not be worn while going to bed. It should be kept in a clean place free from dirt.// Wrong , because Rudraksha is worn for protection. And protection is required more in night rather than the day time. There is no single definition for a place free from dirt. // 6.Rudraksha rosaries should not be swapped.// Right. // 7.Rudraksha should not be worn when visiting a new born baby // Wrong. Anyways one should never touch a new born baby at all, whether wearing a rudrakhsa or not. // 8.Rudraksha should not be worn when visiting the toilet for long calls. // Right. // 9.Rudraksha should not be worn by meat eaters// Right. But better to wear rahther then not wear it, and remove while eating meat or drinking alcohol. regards, Bhaskar. www.shrikrishnajyotish.com , " harinomore " <Hari_Dharan wrote: > > Hi Pundit Arjun > > Can You check this precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads and tell us > in your expert opinion if they are right or wrong > > Precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads > > 1.Rudraksha should not be worn during sexual intimacy. Guest guest
Dear Sheevani, What you say is quite true. When everything in this world have been created by and have become a part and parcel of the supreme himself. How can we differentiate moments to wear our rudraksha and moments not to wear them. But then again this rules have been put ford by experts of spiritual science indicating that the energy within the rudraksha gets reduced by wearing them at such moments. Thus i was hoping to receive some expert opinion on this from the forum. Guest guest
Hi Mr Bhadkar Thanks for sharing your opinions with me. But i have got to say hat many ladies today are wearing rudrakshas especially the devotees of Lord Siva. This always has been this opinion that only men wear rudrakshas and not woman but since no such rules have been found in the siva purana i guess we can safely say that is just a misconception. Guest guest
Dear Hari ji, Namaste.. I responded to you for 2 reasons,, Bolanath Shivji is my isht dev and secondly my son is also called Hari Krishan. First let me clarify my defination of blessings and compassion.. Blessings are when God is pleased with you and absolves you of your sins,, Only God knows who is worthy of this grace, cos we mere mortals dont know our past karmas etc.. Compassion is when God feels about your pain etc but does not interfere with your karma.. He either lessens the pain or duration of pain, or gives you the strength to enudure it, When you ask for God,s compassion,(karuna) you are asking for His guidance, direction and protection.. Firstly, not everyone feels drawn to wearing rudraksh.. Secondly we are drawn to wear it for our own personal reasons/intensions. Thirdly the faith and devotion behind wearing it varies from individual to individual. My intention in my earlier mail,, was to say,, if you are going to wear the rudraksh,, wear it for the best possible reason, let it be for the love of God and devotion to Him.. Let His compassion be felt in your every deed and thought. That would improve you life in every aspect,, not just for material gains or a quick fix etc. When you can have the ocean, why ask for a cupful?? Yes,, I have read the Shiv Puran and the Linga Puran, It is human nature to take things out of it the way you understand or perceive it.. I am aware there are rules..and there will always be rules in whatever you do.. It is up to you, how much you want to complicate or simplify your life.. Also consider the fact,, if you should un- intentionally break any rule,, it will reamin as a suspicion in your mind(vham) that things have gone wrong because of it,, and it will just bother you more, causing you more pain and loss of faith. I dont walk around like a sadhu, with a mala of huge rudraksh beads,, I wear small rudraksh beads with gold links, to others it is a piece of jewellery,, to me it means a whole lot more,.. I also have several rudraksh malas of different sizes for prayers etc There are no known side effects of wearing of wearing rudraksha.. It is your life,, live it wisely with awareness.. Guest guest
Namaste Manoj ji. I just wear a mala with 5 mukhi rudrakshs.. I do however have a selection various mukhi rudraksh beads which I place on the Shiv linga in my alter,, I think Bhaskarji has already answered the question on rules and regulations. The various mukhi rudraksh beads do also have individual mantras.. I only do the pooja of the various mukhi beads twice a year with the appropriate mantras,, on Mahashivratri and again on the first monday of the month of Shravan..If you dont know the specific mantra, then you can use the Pancakshri mantra. There are no known side effects of wearing rudraksha.. Like tulsi,, rudraksha also have medicinal benefits.. Guest guest
dear friends after years of research on various remedies, i started recommedning rudraksha, as they are the simplest, inexpensive and easily doable remedies by any human and many scriptures have substantitated and glorified the power of rudraksha. hence let me present the truth as it is and facts as they are published in the scriptures and lastly my own opinions. firstly, the truth is that according to shivapurana, rudraksha can be worn by any human, man or woman, upper caste or lower caste, forest dweller or an ascetic of any order. however, the division of rudraksha of four colours correlated to four castes is now non applicable for two reasons. the time when these were recommended, only chatur varna system (four caste) system was prevalent. but today we have more than 100 castes. even the four colours of rudraksha are not at all available now. white and black rudraksha corresponding to brahmins and shudras are as rare as extinct. red and yellow rudrakshas representing kshatriyas and vaishyas are the only two coloured rudrakshas available all over the world. secondly, it is not written anywhere in any scripture as to when NOT to wear a rudraksha. however, it is mentioned in shivapurana that a rudraksha wearer must ABSTAIN from eating meat, garlic, onion, liquor etc. here the food items that enhance tamas guna were ADVISED TO BE ABSTAINED with a view to instill spirituality and peaceufl satvik guna to the native. hence this is not a blind rule as such because the same shivapurana in other verses recommended rudraksha for kshatriyas and shudras who naturally drink liquor and eat meat, garlic etc. thirdly the few situations where a native is advised not to wear a rudraksha is purely with the objective of NOT to disrespect the rudraksha as we treat it as a god embodiment or god himself. keeping repsect and reverence to the rudraksha, natives can wear the rudraksha all the time and at all places. if and when they feel that they indulge in something where the rudraksha may get spoiled or disrespected, they MAY remove and wear it afterwards. lastly, based on simple human logic, one may be careful with the rudraksha worn by them in the following situations: 1. while swimming or taking a bath in a holy river or sea, if the rudraksha is worn in a simple thread chances are that it may get lost. hence be careful that rudraksha is not lost while swimming or bathing in a river or sea. if a person is taking a holy dip in a holy river, then it is fine but when people go out for swimming for long, then only they may fear loss of rudraksha and hence remove it before going for swimming purely with an objective of not to lose the rudraksha. 2. while drinking chances are that the liquor may fall on the rudraksha by imbalance due to inebriation and after drinking some people even vomit and that waste may fall on his chest and rudraksha. sometimes other drunkard may fall on you and omit on you. people who are not confident of maintaining respect to their covered rudrakshas may remove rudrakshas before drinking and wear afterwards. 3. while feasting on various nonveg items, the blood and parts of those dead bodies of animals and birds may fall on the chest and hence jhoota khana falling on a divine rudraksha is disespect. since most people (except few elite) dont wear aprons or clothes while having food and even satvik people too sometimes drop food on their chest while eating with their handsfull (akin to children dropping their icecreams all over their body while eating), natives who are afraid of doing such things may remove the rudraksha before such eating practices. 4. in olden days sex was meant only for procreation but these days modern people treat it as recreation. hence while having sex, if the natives indulge in such acts where saliva can fall on the rudraksha and treat it with disrepct, natives may remove the rudraksha before sex and wear it afterwards. the underlying objective of these advises (not rules) is to maintain respect to the rudraksha and natives may remove the rudraksha whenever they fear they may disrepect when they are out of control. lastly, since rudraksha gives protection from all invisible evils, naives must strive to wear it round the clock. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " harinomore " <Hari_Dharan wrote: > > Hi Pundit Arjun > > Can You check this precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads and tell us > in your expert opinion if they are right or wrong > > Precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads > > 1.Rudraksha should not be worn during sexual intimacy. Guest guest
Arjun bhai, Very good posting indeed! To add a question really for you to answer if you wish: There was one person who told me once that though raised in one of the Mahadeva/Mahakaal zones in India, and not as a Brahmin let me add, the very first rudraaksha this individual received was from a 'lower' caste whose name was Kishan! Kishan brought a rudraksha which was panchamukha. Though not a high-born, Kishan was known to be very pious, very clean in habits, very strongly rajasik in his demeanour yet very devoted to what he was supposed to do in this lifetime, never shirking away from his daytime work which was not very clean or godly by the reckoning of many if not most. As far as I know the rudrakshaa that was received from Kishan was not any less pious than the jhootey berries that Rama received, those that were touched by Shabri's mouth first! Comments please? Guest guest
Dear Friends, Namaste. I would like to add my personal opinion for clarification as a lady wearing rudraksha. Every women know those signals. It is not problem to take the rudrakshas before the menstural cycle. Guest guest
Hello Shri Rohiniji, Namaste. Most of these rudrakshas are quite frequently picked up by these low caste people who form the class of known as the shudras, before they land to the door of the seller. Here the action is inncoent for life sustenance, therefore not a problem, but once it reaches the buyer, then one has to respect the rudraksha for what it is. You are so right about the Shabiris jhootey berries. Here too the action was innocent and in service to the God and Lord Rama, which service was one with full affections, shradha and bhakti, therefore in both examples, there is no place for impurity. Guest guest
can I bear rudraksha during funeral. As Some body said me that there is no problem in waring a rudraksh mala while attending funeral panditarjun2004 <panditarjun2004 Monday, 25 February, 2008 8:32:29 AM Re: Rules on wearing Rudraksha dear friends after years of research on various remedies, i started recommedning rudraksha, as they are the simplest, inexpensive and easily doable remedies by any human and many scriptures have substantitated and glorified the power of rudraksha. hence let me present the truth as it is and facts as they are published in the scriptures and lastly my own opinions. firstly, the truth is that according to shivapurana, rudraksha can be worn by any human, man or woman, upper caste or lower caste, forest dweller or an ascetic of any order. however, the division of rudraksha of four colours correlated to four castes is now non applicable for two reasons. the time when these were recommended, only chatur varna system (four caste) system was prevalent. but today we have more than 100 castes. even the four colours of rudraksha are not at all available now. white and black rudraksha corresponding to brahmins and shudras are as rare as extinct. red and yellow rudrakshas representing kshatriyas and vaishyas are the only two coloured rudrakshas available all over the world. secondly, it is not written anywhere in any scripture as to when NOT to wear a rudraksha. however, it is mentioned in shivapurana that a rudraksha wearer must ABSTAIN from eating meat, garlic, onion, liquor etc. here the food items that enhance tamas guna were ADVISED TO BE ABSTAINED with a view to instill spirituality and peaceufl satvik guna to the native. hence this is not a blind rule as such because the same shivapurana in other verses recommended rudraksha for kshatriyas and shudras who naturally drink liquor and eat meat, garlic etc. thirdly the few situations where a native is advised not to wear a rudraksha is purely with the objective of NOT to disrespect the rudraksha as we treat it as a god embodiment or god himself. keeping repsect and reverence to the rudraksha, natives can wear the rudraksha all the time and at all places. if and when they feel that they indulge in something where the rudraksha may get spoiled or disrespected, they MAY remove and wear it afterwards. lastly, based on simple human logic, one may be careful with the rudraksha worn by them in the following situations: 1. while swimming or taking a bath in a holy river or sea, if the rudraksha is worn in a simple thread chances are that it may get lost. hence be careful that rudraksha is not lost while swimming or bathing in a river or sea. if a person is taking a holy dip in a holy river, then it is fine but when people go out for swimming for long, then only they may fear loss of rudraksha and hence remove it before going for swimming purely with an objective of not to lose the rudraksha. 2. while drinking chances are that the liquor may fall on the rudraksha by imbalance due to inebriation and after drinking some people even vomit and that waste may fall on his chest and rudraksha. sometimes other drunkard may fall on you and omit on you. people who are not confident of maintaining respect to their covered rudrakshas may remove rudrakshas before drinking and wear afterwards. 3. while feasting on various nonveg items, the blood and parts of those dead bodies of animals and birds may fall on the chest and hence jhoota khana falling on a divine rudraksha is disespect. since most people (except few elite) dont wear aprons or clothes while having food and even satvik people too sometimes drop food on their chest while eating with their handsfull (akin to children dropping their icecreams all over their body while eating), natives who are afraid of doing such things may remove the rudraksha before such eating practices. 4. in olden days sex was meant only for procreation but these days modern people treat it as recreation. hence while having sex, if the natives indulge in such acts where saliva can fall on the rudraksha and treat it with disrepct, natives may remove the rudraksha before sex and wear it afterwards. the underlying objective of these advises (not rules) is to maintain respect to the rudraksha and natives may remove the rudraksha whenever they fear they may disrepect when they are out of control. lastly, since rudraksha gives protection from all invisible evils, naives must strive to wear it round the clock. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy .com , " harinomore " <Hari_Dharan@ ...> wrote: > > Hi Pundit Arjun > > Can You check this precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads and tell us > in your expert opinion if they are right or wrong > > Precautions in Wearing Rudraksha Beads > > 1.Rudraksha should not be worn during sexual intimacy. Guest guest
dear RRji you may remember my previous posts where i clearly mentioned that by birth all humans are shudras (as per vedas) and their categorisation under chatur varna system (prevalent then) is purely based on individual karmas. same lifeforce (god) pervades and permeats in all human, nay, sentient beings and hence we shall see all as equal. lord shiva says in shivapurana (vidveshvar samhita, 25th chapter) that only by great merits, one gets the opportunity to wear a rudraksha. how one gets is only the logistics part viz. whether the native gets it from a shudra (like you mentioned) or through a vaishya (shop vendor), as a gift from a king (nepalsese king used to gift rudraksha to the visiting heads of state) or from a poojari or a pandit. however, some verses in shivapurana mention about energisation of rudraksha with the mantras which may look orthodox and not practiced by some modern people. similarly for wearing a rudraksha or for doing a pooja, some orthodox people recite sankalpam, but those modern people who have reservations against these orthodox practices are at liberty to wear whichever way they want, however and wherever they get it. some people grind rudraksha in crushing machines and make rudraksha powder and sell. similarly these people also extract oil from rudrakshas by crushing the holy rudrakshas in machines and this oil is sold for application on physical body. those who believe rudraksha only as botanical seeds having medicinal properties do this and i have nothing to comment against them. but i believe rudraksha represents lord shiva himself and treat it differently i.e. with respect and reverence. the allegory of giving jhoota fruits by sabari to lord rama does not fit in rudraksha as rudraksha is a seed and not a fruit and is not kept in mouth to taste whether it is sweet or bitter before offering to the lord by great devotees like sabari. moreover, rudraksha is not offered to god as rudraksha itself is god and hence it is given to a discerning devotee interested in wearing it as he believes rudraksha is an embodiment of lord shiva. such devotees are aware that rudraksha is not meant for eating and hence there is no chance of putting it in the mouth and making it jhoota. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " Rohiniranjan " <rohini_ranjan wrote: > > Arjun bhai, > > Very good posting indeed! > > To add a question really for you to answer if you wish: > > There was one person who told me once that though raised in one of > the Mahadeva/Mahakaal zones in India, and not as a Brahmin let me > add, the very first rudraaksha this individual received was from > a 'lower' caste whose name was Kishan! Guest guest
Dear Lisa, No one can time the next menstrual cycle perfectly. It can happen next month between any of the 3 stipulated days of the next cycle. Those signals you are talking of (The first slight wet discharge)is enough from that moment onwards in devout Hindu families, for her to remain an untouchable . Therefore in actuality, one has not removed the rudrakhsa before the menstrual cycle, but just at the onset or the start. anyways these are not matters to be much discussed or speculated and stipulated upon, so lets forget these discussions and move forward............. regards, Bhaskar. www.shrikrishnajyotish.com , Lisa Sh <Shukra_ wrote: > > > Dear Friends, > > Namaste. I would like to add my personal opinion for clarification as a lady wearing rudraksha. Women know when the monthly cycle will start. And even if we miss the date, or forgot; it gives certain signals before the start, and we are informed about the situation easily. Every women know those signals. It is not problem to take the rudrakshas before the menstural cycle. > > Regards > Lisa > > > > > , " Bhaskar " > <rajiventerprises@> wrote:> > Dear Hari,> > Though addressed to Shri Panditji,> I express my opinions too.> > > // 1.Rudraksha should not be worn during sexual > intimacy.
