Remedy for Saturn's return / Ashtama Shani

respected gurus,

Kindly suggest a remedy for propitiating Lord Saturn, who is now in

the eighth to my natal moon in Capricorn, and also in Leo, which was

his position too at the time of my birth, thus giving me the combined

effects of both adverse transits, that is currently causing havoc in

my life.

I'm an Aries ascendant, with Sun in Leo, and moon in capricorn in

Uttarashada.

You should have mentioned your birth details

your life?

There are six planets in your house of Purvapunya-AL, with Shani

Please help with predictions regarding any exam that i undertake for

furthering my career. i will be taking one in June 2008. Is is wise to

be taking an exam like this, that too in a foreign country, at a time

of such bad transits...?

then 10 Years gone bad.

Is it not ?

I certainly agree with you. the person wrote here only about the

remedy of ashtam shani. I dint want to frightened him at all. I just

explained the meaning of kantaka shani!

Yes, you are right all the days are not same and for that reading of

Kakshya is important during this cycle as to which kakshya -shani is

transiting and whether there is any dot given by the planet or not.

ashtakvarga is very much helpful in that. moreover dasha bhukti is

also not to be ignored. lot of tools are there to determine its effects.

It is that i only gave remedy which i found effective in the 17 years

of my astro career.

Dear Bhaskar-ji,

Ashtam sani means if person had sani in 8th colunm, this is consider bad or

gives you more trouble

during your sade sati period, which i do have sani in ashtam in aries lagna i

have scorpios sani,my

sade sati will start in 18 months as my chandra is in libra so pls guide me on

this,

Dear Rashmiji,

Sometimes the truths are not what,

as we percieve them, or as we know them to be.

Ashtam Sani in your case may not be bad as you

may think, entirely. There are good parts to

it, but would not go into it, presently.

Just remember the two key words, longevity

and unearned income, which would be

the forte for this astham Sani.

When one has got just married, no use

thinking about the education of kids,which one

would parent, later on. Same way, we shall think

of crossing the bridge when we come towards it.

18 months is a longtime ,isnt it ? Why worry now .

thats true too, not to worry from now?? may be later when sade sati starts for

sure?? right??

is sade sati usually between 7.5 yrs person definatly would sufer regardless??

right??

bhaskerji, my whole family meaning my wife,both sons they are kanya rashi

started 7.5 only i will later on & so this is really worries me thinking rest of

family & all started so every one in family going to sufered a lot??? only this

even though its coincidence but makes negative thinking, well god is great.

Dear Rashmi ji,

The term ashtam Shani and kantak shani are used for Saturn in

transit. When the Saturn during transit reaches the house 8th to the

Natal Moon then it is called as Ashtam Shani. You will have Ashtam

Shani whenever the Saturn will be in Taurus during transit.

Currently the Shani is in Leo , and you have already gone through

your Ashtam Shani period.

Saturn placed in the 8th house in the Janma Kundali is normally

called ashtamastha shani.These terms vary from astrologer to

astrologer or from region to region.

When ever one learns that the Sade saatee is either on or about to

begin he should on any Saturday pour a little mustard oil at the

entrance of his house and with folded hands should pray " hey shani

dev main aap ka abhivadan karta hun , Aap mere ghar padhar rahe

hain , aap ki mujh par sadaa kripaa banee rahe. Aap mujhe sadaa

vipattiyon se bachate rahen. "

One should not be scared of sade satee or the Saturn . On the

contrary be humble while praying to Saturn . It is said that ` shani

jaisa daataa koi nahi hai' … no one gives as does the Saturn.

Therefore treat him like an ally and not an enemy.

Ashtam shani can give you little bit health problem.

Malefic planets in any good houses gives trouble. They give help only in 3rd,

6th, and 11th houses.

If there is both malefic planets come in 6th and 8th house, than some times it

give trouble in two ways regarding health and matrimonials.

If lagna is solid, or luck is good, or jupiter is good , than ashtam shani

will give less effects to the native.

Chant " OM NAMEH NARAYAN " or OM NAMEH SHIVAY .

You will get relief. What ever the things may be even shani dasa or saade saat

saati.

as we percieve them, or as we know them to be.

Ashtam Sani in your case may not be bad as you

may think, entirely. There are good parts to

it, but would not go into it, presently.

Just remember the two key words, longevity

and unearned income, which would be

the forte for this astham Sani.

When one has got just married, no use

thinking about the education of kids,which one

would parent, later on. Same way, we shall think

of crossing the bridge when we come towards it.

All malefic planets give trouble in Kendra, ie 4th, 7th, 10th and 1st house.

Specially mars give very -ve result in kendras. If he comes in cancer sign in

ascendent or effected thorugh its vision on first house of cancer sign.

Give very negitive result. rahu and saturn also give -ve result in 4th and and

1st house. All three planets give -ve effects in kendra according to their

nature and reduce the effect of that house.

ashtam shani, agian give littlebit health decease, if 1st, 4th or 9th house

Oh thank you so much for guieding me on sani maharaj, i will definatly welcome

actually my wife & two sons all kanya rashi started sade satee as i will be next

since i am tula rashi, but

the worry is for 5 years me & my whole family will be in sade satee period, so

The term ashtam Shani and kantak shani are used for Saturn in

transit. When the Saturn during transit reaches the house 8th to the

Natal Moon then it is called as Ashtam Shani. You will have Ashtam

Shani whenever the Saturn will be in Taurus during transit.

Currently the Shani is in Leo , and you have already gone through

your Ashtam Shani period.

Saturn placed in the 8th house in the Janma Kundali is normally

called ashtamastha shani.These terms vary from astrologer to

astrologer or from region to region.

When ever one learns that the Sade saatee is either on or about to

begin he should on any Saturday pour a little mustard oil at the

entrance of his house and with folded hands should pray " hey shani

dev main aap ka abhivadan karta hun , Aap mere ghar padhar rahe

hain , aap ki mujh par sadaa kripaa banee rahe. Aap mujhe sadaa

vipattiyon se bachate rahen. "

Hello Ranbir,

reading yor post i couldnt help but wonder that are all the planets

real devtas or we have symbolised them??

As per my understanding planets in a birthchart depicts the past

karma of of a human being and can be to a certain extent be remedied

if the person does " Praychit " or good karmas.

but folding hands to shani dev and welcoming him(??) doesnot sound

logical to me. Being humble is ok and that s what we shd be if sate

satti or ashtam shani cos Shani rules lower classes as well.but

overall authority is the almighty God(Lord Shiva in my case)who

overrules and rewards if needed.

Its my viewpoint.

Dear Mini ji,

If the Indian ethos has a place for 33 crore devtas, I can easily

accept the 9 planets being amongst them.

Even if it is just symbolism, I have no disagreement with that

either. Symbolizing helps our Indian mind to be close to the object.

It makes so much easier to develop an affinity with the object.

If you feel uncomfortable about Shani being considered a Devta, you

can consider him as his lordship the Chief Justice of the celestial

Supreme Court. He sits at judgment helped by Rahu as a prosecution

advocate and Ketu as an advocate pleading on our behalf.

And when his lordship himself visits your home, it is always

advisable to welcome him with folded hands and with all humility.

I had just expressed my views and feelings about Saturn. You are

free to have your own. I do not insist that you agree with me.

Namaskar

I take liberty to say something about shani sadhe sati.

It is not necessary that effect of saturn's sadhe sati means

suffering only. there are three paryays means - cycle of sadhe sati

in one's life and effect of each paryaye is different for different

rashis. further it is again not necessary that all will suffer. sadhe

sati is proved to be beneficial for some people too. It depends on

the natal position of planets too. if saturn is benefic can give

recognition and prosperity too in its sadhe sati.

as it is transit of saturn through moon which is significator of

mental condition- some times produce depression/feeling of

loneliness - in this period. so it is necessary to understand its

effect in light of transit also. do not forget its orbs too. actually

exact sadhe sati starts just 30 degrees behind the natal moon. and

will finish exactly 30 degrees ahead. understand its effect with

respect to other planets also - use of ashtakvarga is very helpful

here.

Lot of researches has been done on this and the book edited by Sh.

K.N.Rao- sadhe sati a balanced view is one of them. Must go for it.

Good points Uma ji. Just adding to your thoughts, also it is useful

to study the placement of jupiter when looking at saturn and its

cycles. Sometimes the differences in effects particularly major ones,

between two identical transits of saturn (30 year apart) are

highlighted by the transit of jupiter associated with the two

identical saturn cycles.

I take liberty to say something about shani sadhe sati.

It is not necessary that effect of saturn's sadhe sati means

suffering only. there are three paryays means - cycle of sadhe sati

in one's life and effect of each paryaye is different for different

rashis. further it is again not necessary that all will suffer. sadhe

sati is proved to be beneficial for some people too. It depends on

the natal position of planets too. if saturn is benefic can give

recognition and prosperity too in its sadhe sati.

as it is transit of saturn through moon which is significator of

mental condition- some times produce depression/feeling of

loneliness - in this period. so it is necessary to understand its

effect in light of transit also. do not forget its orbs too. actually

exact sadhe sati starts just 30 degrees behind the natal moon. and

will finish exactly 30 degrees ahead. understand its effect with

respect to other planets also - use of ashtakvarga is very helpful

here.

Lot of researches has been done on this and the book edited by Sh.

K.N.Rao- sadhe sati a balanced view is one of them. Must go for it.
