Hare rama krishna ,

 

dear bobby,

 

Lal kitab remedies still yet to catch up with the scholars of

indian astrological community .Even there is no recorded or reserched

facts abt it unless some claims where as all other sections in astro in

india has some reserch and compilation is going on eventhough there is

no public or government support at international level.And being an

astrologer full time based in delhi ,i ask every one who comes to me

after all frustraton as i am definit that they might hav done many lal

kitab remedies but i never find them its working .If so they dont need

to come to us .Lal kitab remedies are supposed to be cheap so may be

catch imagination of people.Even bad sani i seen they recommend ghode ka

nala ( Horse shoe ring) .but i can endorse it i never find it working

with atleast 100 of known cases.

 

We in vedic astrology we blve in karmas and its classification like

fixed ,movable and dual ( for easyness i am not using sanskrit names

-this is not based on rasis) .

 

so fixed cannot be changed and the other 2 can be chnged .

 

And lal ktiab remedies i dont know how it will work on reducing the

effect of karma ,i heard when some body complained abt stomach problem

one good for nothing astrologer who monkey with all systems said put 3

green coconuts in flowing water .Do u think it can work?

 

I dont know whether P V R rao ji endorsed Lal kitab remedies .But i

still think he wont .

 

And behind every thing there shud be some logic ,we all atleast know

that rahu and ketu can eclipse moon and sun or we say its moons nodes .

 

How they can be comfortable together ,may be some one with these

combination may be born in grahan period also .So even if in 4th house

do u think rahu behav wel with moon .

 

Even vedic mantras says abt rahu ---chandra aditya vimardanam--means who

can trouble moon and sun .

 

Rafal ji one thing i noticed he is strictly following whatever his guru

parampara has taught to him .

 

Off course i dont belong to their school

I am a bit concerned or at least perplexed by this posting, Sunil ji! And I am

not doing this lightly or to make trouble in calm and deep oceans by some

reckonings!

 

Also, I have nothing for or against Lal Kitab which in my country of choice to

live in associates with the Red Book of Liberals (just fact and no implications

intended or tossed out to be misinterpreted!)

 

We in the field of jyotish, seriously or for other reasons -- have seen a lot of

self-proclaimed claims of GREAT research from different schools and individuals

for decades in a variety of forms and formats even before some of the recent

schools (why schools still and not colleges and universities or Ivy Leagues,

given the devotional praises we jyotishis claim to have arrived at or to have

brought to this blind and fettered world of minions who sponsor some of all

these activities?)

 

Is all this oft cited just available to exclusive few who enroll? Or is it in

public domain presented in a manner that scientific minds amongst us can find,

analyze, comment and discuss about and accept or reject? Or is it something that

involves ploughing through millions of pages to get a few nuggets of golden

truth that will work most times (atmakaraka and the 11th and jyotish, for

instance!)?

 

Since we are all humans (at least for 100000 years) can we fast forward to the

present and give in to the current norm of " Caveat Emptor " ?

 

From the sounds of it, the *warning* sounds at least a couple of thousand years

old, if not prehistoric (Vaidic)!

 

Neither Jyotish as it is taught in some modern schools, or imposed on those who

have come to it with little choice and often too late ('You snooze you lose,!'.

KARMICALLY speaking, another modern dictum!), can be the ultimate reality,

though to most it may sound like the present reality!

 

Before anyone denounces a certain approach definitively, particularly if

considered someone knowledgeable in that particular approach, it would be

prudent to:

 

Have given it a try and demonstrate its failures or inefficacies. And not just

state pontifically so or quote others

Be prepared to describe their personal experience with say for in this context

with Lal Kitab approaches and failures therefrom in sufficient details (data,

specific events etc)

etc.

 

If they do not have the time to do that rigorously and sincerely, they should

refrain from making blanket or umbrella statements that may confuse individuals

who may not belong to the school that worked for them personally!

 

There is no absolute truth since great gurus and experts have made big mistakes

publicly and it is all documented!

dear friends

 

firstly, may all members get ratified that conjunction of rahu or

ketu with the luminaries sun and moon is not at all good as it is

termed as grahan yoga. sun and moon are light giving planets and the

two nodes rahu and ketu are dark ones. mythologically too, it was

sun and moon who complained against the rahu-ketu demon and since

then rahu/ketu are treated as eclipsing enemies of sun and moon.

 

as regards lalkitab remedies, i wish to explain the logic behind

these remedies.

 

leaving aside the lalkitab system of astrology, the remedies for the

planets were conceived and recommended by a person of rural

background in punjab-pakistan area which has had both hindu and

muslim population. the author of lalkitab has written the original

lalkitab in urdu. since the muslims do not believe in the hindu

forms of planets as gods, the author identified certain birds,

animals, objects and other things and correlated them to the planets

and recommended remedies which are easily doable even by the poorest

of the poor and by any and every religious person as these remedies

are inexpensive and inhouse.

 

hence one may safely assume that the objective of the lalkitab

remedies is their simplicity and easy doability even by the poorest

person of any religion living in remotest rural areas. to this

extent, the lalkitab remedies are good for even for an illiterate and

to the poorest person who cannot spend on remedies and also to those

who do not believe hindu form of gods but still believe in planets

and wish to do remedies.

 

vedic astrology as elucidated in the shastras and samhitas by the

sages is the best form of astrology and the remedies recommended by

the sages in general and sage parasara in particular, are the best.

What is the ultimate aim of birth? What does the human being wish to achieve in

the long run? If it is salvation and freedom from the cycle of births then

remedies which work twofold are to be followed. Firstly, they must provide

relief for the immediate problem; next they must guide the querent towards

salvation and liberation from the cycle of births.

 

When a remedy is prescribed, the prescriber becomes a party to the karma cycle.

In other words, some karma of the querent are transferred to the prescriber. If

the remedy is satvic, both gain. If not then both have to bear additional karma,

which would need to be burnt up. Whether this happens in this birth or some

later birth is a totally different aspect.

 

If satvic remedies are prescribed, both stand to gain.

 

Lal Kitab remedies are short term remedies to achieve the immediate aim and not

considered satvic, if at all they are effective.

Dear Amitabh, Namaskar

 

There are few division like this.

 

Generally satva-guna is disinterested in any material gain and this

is like praying for better sadhana, or using gems to remove blockages

in worshipping God or humanity.

 

Every endevour to enjoy in seperation from God have impact of Rajas Guna

which shows seperation, now if we add helping ourselves through God

instruments ie. Shastra then it has also colour of Satva. Satva in element,

Rajas in motive. Now all mantra which have goal to destroy ownself

or others is purely Tamasic and should be rejected if we want at least

be born as humans.

 

Through worshipping God(s) for improving material situation we develop

slowly through lifetimes disinterested motive which has one goal - to

satisfy God,

altough even this should be rejected by Adi Shankara commentary to Gita.

 

But generally these are those steps: karma-kanda, karma-misra-bhakti,

bhakti (or jnana).

Hare rama krishna,

 

dear punditji .

 

Namaskar,

 

Your explanation is satisfactory .But why dont others think the

vedic remedies has been using by bharath vaasi from time immomorial and

which stood the test of time ,so we call any thing of such as classics .

 

Where as this lal kitab -yes i got 3 differrent versions and some

commentaries written by differrent persons ,it says its got to a pundit

in urdu and he translated and used it .If he himself propounded and

system i never know.

 

But one thing i still wish to tell u cheap ness and easy doability or

free advise wont adress a real problem .If i am in business and loosing

1 lacs rupees per month if i got sense i should go for real masters than

cheap or free.

 

Another thing being in delhi ,i know allmost all is influenced by this

method and but in real practise even if they do 1 lac times the remedy

the problem is persisting ,so cheap ness is becoming expensive .One bag

of atta u flow in water for a bad 7 year mars dasa even if u do it all

the 7 years ,if its bad it wont solve the problem if u dont adress the

problem in its seriousness,and may be cheap remedy may become more

expensive also.

 

Some gentle man is asking me to do reserch ,yes i was freely sharing my

reserch ,and if any body who can do fund raising or can do a big

contribution ( not free mouthing) i am ready to participate with

reserch work than simply wrtiing sting mails (popular 24x7 channels do

for public viwership or get good rating) or journalist kind of stupid

mails thinking they r living in the top of the world .

 

Its like some one criticised me for not answering all mails in one

forum and he forget to think that i am memeber of 100 groups atleast and

answering astro mails is time consuming than wrting sting mails.

 

Those who foul mouth for free dom forget to think that its cost is

continuase vigilance and self discipline.

 

Your points i always welcome and atleast its adreessing point by point

Namashkar Arjunji,

 

We haven't 'spoken' to each other in a long time. I hope things have

been going well for you since we interacted last.

 

It feels good to hear your 'level' voice on this forum as you lay out

facts without any 'labels' and 'colouring' attached to the matter

that is being discussed.

 

I have never really felt drawn to examining Lal Kitab, but by the

same token I would not put it down just because it may not be

tradition etc. (you are not, but others are). Someone also mentioned

that he has three versions of Lal Kitab. That does not really

negative. I have heard that there are five or so versions of Brihat

Parashar Hora Shastra. So what? Ancient texts would expectedly have

different versions. Even modern text books go through so many

editions over a couple of decades! For Jyotish, we are talking

hundreds if not thousands of years!

 

I think one of the individuals referred to different forms of

remedials, satwik and not so satwik and the different karmic

implications on the presciber. That does make sense to me, whether it

is true or not is another matter. The analogy would be folk remedies

vs modern medicine. There are pros and cons for both and also more

importantly, one or the other kind may suit some individuals better

than they do to others. I personally know of individuals who respond

very well to homeopathic remedies as opposed to modern medicine, and

there are others that respond better to modern medicines as opposed

to homeopathy or ayurvedic medicines.

 

We must stop and realize that we are not clones and there may be not

truth in the adage: One size fits all!

 

We are all at different levels of karmic levels and perhaps need

different remedies and the expertise of the prescriber lies in

diagnosis what would work best for his or her client nativity!

 

If we feed babies food suitable for adults, the babies would suffer

from indigestion and if we feed grown ups baby food, they may lose

their appetite!

Dear Mr. Shastri,

 

Namashkar! A slightly different perspective, if I may :-)

 

What I am going to bring up is what I have heard also perhaps in this

very forum or more likely Ben Collins' forum many years ago when some

of us were " in college and trying to figure the world out, from a

jyotish perspective during the evening after a hard day at work " . I

would not drop 'names' but trust me that it was a serious bunch of

jyotishis from all parts of the world!

 

In that group/discussion it was mentioned that everything was

destined, including whether one would respond to remedies or not! It

made me very uncomfortable at that time because the premise seemed to

completely eliminate any role for freedom of will or freedom of

choice. I recall that after a lot of heated discussion amongst the

younger (in age and experience) jyotishis, Mr. K.N. Rao posted a

message referring to Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansa's fable about a

goat tied to a pole in a courtyard that was surrounded by tall walls

and the door locked tight! The length of the rope that tied the goat

to the pole (khunti), he explained was the degree of freedom (of

choice!).

 

So much for remedies and muhurtas, if that indeed is the case, at

least for most of us 'bottom feeders' as environmentalists call some

fish in a given pond or lake!!

thanks for your good words and am equally happy to see you in the

groups after sometime. i was away from the groups as i was busy in

hyderabad serving my near and dear and my contributions in the groups

have become negligible or nil but still finding time off and on to do

whatever little service i can do in these groups. hope you are doing

fine and good to see your knowledge sharing mails in the groups again

and i also would be happy to participate in purely knowledge sharing

mails in this group in future without being critical of anyone or any

system.

 

first and foremost, all members must realise that in this unipolar

world, so many systmes exist in each and every field and one must

learn to live in mutual coexistence peacefully without belittling or

criticising other systems.

 

for health problems, one can visit doctors from various streams like

allopathy, ayurveda, homeopathy, unani, siddha, accupuncture etc. and

some can even recite mantras and do tantras for curing diseases. no

one shall find fault with the other.

 

hence my conclusion is that even while accepting that there are so

many choicest systems are available for a native, it is our own

individual choice to choose which system we shall follow. if one

wish to go to a place he has a choice of going by walk, by bicycle,

by rickshaw, by autorickshaw, by car, jeep, bus, train, helicopter or

by aeroplane. similarly for any and every thing there are so many

modes available and one shall not find fault with others.

Dear RRji,

 

Nice to have your views once again.

 

The freedom of the goat just signifies the freedom accorded to us in execution

of " Kriyaman Karma " .

 

No school of thought can be condemned unless the fundamentals themselves are on

an incorrect foundation. I am informed that Lal Kitab remedies are effective.

How many times or how much is questionable. Same would go for any other remedial

system.

 

In research (social, medical or scientific) one forms controlled and

uncontrolled groups on whom given hypothesis is tested and inferences drawn.

Unfortunately, in jyotish such segregation is not an easy task. (To the best of

my knowledge, such an attempt has never been made. It would be extremely

difficult to find individuals with similar charts and socio-economic

background). So it is really not an easy task to say that the result has been

due to remedy or destiny.

 

It is not possible to disassociate from the karmic cycle. Under normal

circumstances, whatever " Prarabdh Karma " have commenced would have to be

undergone. Spiritual following helps burn the Karma. Therefore, a satvic remedy

would, beside giving its result, in due course of time, would also burn up the

Karma and guide the native towards the ultimate path. There and no shortcuts to

so called salvation, liberation and freedom from the cycle of rebirths!

 

Opinions and solutions may vary...depending on the mindset of the querent and

the astrologer.

goat tied to a pole in a courtyard that was surrounded by tall walls

and the door locked tight! The length of the rope that tied the goat

to the pole (khunti), he explained was the degree of freedom (of

choice!).

 

So much for remedies and muhurtas, if that indeed is the case, at

least for most of us 'bottom feeders' as environmentalists call some

fish in a given pond or lake!!

Dear Amitabh ji,

 

Pardon my tardiness in spotting this and responding. It was certainly

not out of discourtesy, let me emphasize.

 

You are absolutely right about your explanation of the rope that

tethers the *goat* and its limited length and scope. In the remote-

vision mode in which we all must view Reality, the desires, joys and

sorrow of the goat are obviously meaningless since they are limited

by what Maya (the wall that surrounds the earthly courtyard (!) would

allow it to see, and once the goat realizes that and jumps over the

wall, the frail tether of free-will stops meaning anything

significant.

 

For that is the moment of self-realization, the " AHA! " moment, and

sheer and pure metamorphosis! For while the tether, the limiting

walls of the courtyard cease to exist, so does the *GOAT*! It turns

into GOD at that very instant!

 

Until that r-e-a-l-l-y happens, the herd of 'goats' must not feel too

powerless and continue to prance around, living our tiny lives, but

most importantly exercise our biggest gift that is God-given! Namely,

our incessant ability of chewing! We must continue to chew at the

tether that ties us to the illusory post in this even more illusory

courtyard!
