Guest guest Posted June 9, 2007 Report Share Posted June 9, 2007 Dear All , My sister was born on sep 22 1972 in bhopal india .She works full time is married in Usa and has a daughter .Her husband is very abusive .He has hit her mutiple times [ bruises etc]and gets away from it .He keeps her in control and does not work .This is happening since thier marriage but has gotton worse since 2004. is thier any remedy she can do so life can be peaceful for her.He hires expensive lawyers with the money his dad sends from india and also keeps all the money in his control. She ends up living with him because of the daughter they have .now he beat her up yesterday and police had asked him to stay away from her .However like other times he will again contiue to get away legally please if anyone has any suggestions to help her. Her time of birth may not be right but she has had problems at work and home . My attempts to help her do not reach anywhere due to strongly resistance. Ask your sister to take pictures of her bruises. And go to the local county court-house and ask for Restraining Order on him. If the dad is abusive then most likely she will get the custody of the child along with Child-Support. Ask your sister to go and meet the D.A. in her county. She can search the D.A. handling family violence cases. Next time the husband hits your sister (make sure she takes the pictures) he is most likely to end up into jail. And i am sure its gonna jeoperdize his job or his business. It normally takes 1 years to resolve a court case. By any means, local D.A. can give her a way better advice.
