Dear Ashna,

Very well worded mail and expressed beautifully.

Now coming back to the earlier statement. It is

never too early to be spiritual. Very much. One

should be spiritual at a young age, but without

renunciations. This spiritualism sshould

be staying in the family, doing ones alloted duties,

and enjoying Life and the pleasures it has to offer,

but with detachment, and vairagya. I think most of us

have been spiritual at young age, but a renunciate,

no. So tolerably spiritualism is good at young age.

I agree to this always. The early a plant is

bend to its shape, it will follow the

same when it growsbig. Oncethe stem has

become hard, then its difficult to bend it.

We had been talking initially of being spiritual at

young age.Eventually we came down to being spiritual

remaining in this world ,this is what is required.

The transition to becoming totally spiritual should be

a slow process ,starting from young age and ending

somewhere around thelate 50's.But this is again

debatable.

I end the issue, with agreeing to both the

views, that at young age too, spiritualism is good,

but without foregoing ones duties towards parents and

family and at later age, when after one having tasted all

pleasures of Life, is still making choice of Spiritualism

or forced Sanyasa- then that is real Spiritualism.

This is the real transition of 4 ashrams as mentioned in the

Shastras .

Best wishes,

Bhaskar.
