I am actually involved with someone from another caste, and she's also from North, whereas I am a South Indian. Could this turn into something bigger in the future, considering my rahu in 7th? Previously, I thought rahu in 7th meant late marriage, but many people say otherwise, and that it indicates out of caste marriage. Like if you belong to maharashtra, but grown up in rajasthan...so u personally have an environment of Rajasthan but you will marry a marathi. So in clear scene you will marry someone who may or maynot belong to your caste but will have different customs/traditon of marriage than your current environment. I hope i am not making a confusion. This is not about astrology. From a scriptural point of view, it is incorrect to have an intercaste marriage. Even if it is an anuloma marriage (i.e. the girl's caste is lower to boy's) it is prohibited in Kaliyuga. You will find this in multiple places (look for 'kalivarjyaani' in nirNayasindhu or smRtichandrikA). Note the words 'prAyashchittam tu maraNAntikam' !! Classically, Rahu represents foreigners / persons from distant places / mlechchas (of different castes). Now stick to the basics and interpret it in modern context. See, having Rahu in 7th place you did not worry about the girls part.7th house tells about a bride. And you looked at +vely and say that you may get intercaste marriage. Whatever, you better involve your family members and make your dream comes true. Meticulous steps will would be appreciated.
