Guest guest
That was informative. At times when I ask people to pay me just Rs.500- for their readings required, still they use bad language and hurl insiniuations. In fact yesterday also one Visitor to this forum came to my place and I was with him discussing astrology from 6.00pm till 9.30pms and charged him Rs.500-only. This man was a good soul but there are others who really say so many hurtful things, that one cannot help but feeling sad. I normally charge bewteen Rs.500-Rs.4000-maximum depending on inputs required. Or else when the case needs urgent attention and native cannot pay I dont charge at all, and neither to the colleagues and friends at Forums. Here many members can vouch for that. But expecting astrologers to do free service ,and taking them for granted is really asking for much and demeaning the divine science and the practioners. These same people when they go to hospital to get themselves or their family members admitted for some operation, will not preach there to the Doctor that " Sir You should save human lives and relieve pain and not charge money for this humane service " . There these same people would very smilingly pay the money at the hospital Counter, and also send gifts to the Suregons place and fold hands every time they meet him. Why do they take astrologers as small people and expect them to do free readings. Also they dont preach to the school principal where their child is admitted that " Sir Education is divine. You should teach my children free " .there too they will talk with folded hands. Why this hypocrisy ? This has been created by those new entrants in the fields of astrology who in their over enthusiasm to be projected as great people forget that they should be strict and draw a line somewhere. Random and Wanton predictions to each and all is not good for any real astrologer. One should be selective and save his energy and Tapa for the real needy who respect his Voice and time. Please guide us as per Your experience, what should be the normal charges one astrologer should demand as fees . It would be helpful to many over here including me. regards, Bhaskar. , Jyotishi <jyotish2000 wrote: > > Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish wrote > > > > . . . commented that Astrologers > > should not take money. . . . > > This would be a helpful discussion > for many, I am sure: How much > should astrologers charge? > > Here is a short list of what some > professionals charge in US dollars, > per hour, approximately, where I > live > > Lawyer, business law 400- 600 > Lawyer, corporate law 500-1500 > Lawyer, criminal law 900-2000 > Physician, general practice 200- 500 > Physician, surgeon 900-5000 > Physician, specialist 400- 800 > Psychoanalyst 200- 500 > Political advisor 500 > Engineer, structural, private 200 > Fashion consultant, cosmetic 300 > Fashion consultant, wardrobe 200 > Pilot, private aviation 200 > Locksmith 200 > Golf coach 150 > Copywriter, advertising 150-300 > Plumber 130-200 > Limousine chauffeur 100 > Musician, lead singer 100 > Property field surveyor 80 > Musician, trumpet player 75 > Aerobic exercise instructor 75 > Software engineer 75 > Tennis coach 70 > Policeman, private duty 50 > Insurance damage assessor 50 > Landscaper 50 > Private tutor for child 40 > Babysitter 40 > Security guard, personal 35 > Housecleaning maid, private 30 > Gardener 25 > > So what do you think an astrologer > should charge?
